They won't tell us anything because either a. they haven't got a clue or b. they (May and her Brexit stooges) are too afraid to create ruptures within the party. This is why they won't hold a GE because they will have to fight it with a clear stance on Brexit which could tear the party apart, 3 of her MPs have already quit under her. Furthermore, if they are too soft the UKIP will surge, if they are too hard the seats won off the liberals will dissappear. Lots of taunting from the tories but I don't think an early GE will be quite so rosy and it feels like we all.could be in a very different place in 2020, all manner of things could happen like the economy collapsing again.

So we are going through Brexit led by an unelected leader based on a 52% vote and ultimately not knowing what we are going to get from it other than almost certain short term financial pain. It stinks and the current Tory hierarchy are making the u-turn kid Osborne look competent.

God British politics is depressing at the moment.

There is not much she can do. The fallout from Brexit will be so destructive across the economy, on many levels, and will leave her and the government running round in circles.. She said that " capitalism is not working for many " and she said she wants to help " those left behind.. " but it is all empty words. If this is about not wanting to openly discuss their position for brexit negotiations, then the clueless ones are those calling for details.

Would you when selling Your car say you want £3k for it but willing to accept £2k before you even meet a potential buyer?

Negotiations haven't started yet and won't until article 50 is triggered so they don't know yet what the EUs stance is either

It would be far more damaging to announce what they want because what if they aren't able to get that concession from the EU, how much ridicule would they get for that failure, over something that may never be possible

Unfortunately these polls are somewhat meaningless as they are nothing more than a Conservative v Labour contest.

But as for me, I do think that perhaps finding herself overseer of everything she surveys, she somehow felt she could move mountains. Over the past two weeks she went to Europe to sort them out, and found herself (hence us) humiliated. Now she's gone to India to drum up trade, to be met by a Premier who only wants to talk about immigration.

Frankly, it's not going to be easy. And I think we could have done without all this shit. Things seem far worse since the Referendum than they were before, plus where as the country was previously just politically divided it's now become bought the equation of Brexit into play.
But hey, that's only my view. Others are entitled to their opinions without me believing they are organs of reproduction!

The us government agrees trade deal strategies before they're negotiated on. It doesn't automatically follow that it leads to a worse negotiation

Stupid post I'm afraid. No one has said they want the full details of negotiations but the basis of Brexit should be known, ie whether we are aiming to be in or out of the free market for example. If in, how we achieve that is for the negotiators.

How can you say that? This wasn't a question on the ballot. The few people I know who voted to leave all point to reasons such as using the money on national needs such as the nhs or reducing uncontrolled immigration. Not one has said they wanted to come out of the single market

Let's see what she brings back from India; early signs are that the Indian government is a bit disappointed. If Brexit has got any chance of working then these are the sort of 'parallel 'deals that will help. Personally I'm not optimistic - but now we are in what I regard as a mess, I hope to goodness that we can get out of it. If May is the person do to it, then good luck to her.
