The only thing I could possibly do wrong is continue to listen to your endless drivel, hence forth Mr Zero I will no longer waste a further minute reading or replying to anymore of YOUR tripe that ISN’T BHA related

Lasted about as long as your hero Johnson's 'Good deal' :lolol:

So what do you think should be discussed on the Brexit thread

Sorting out the Northern Ireland protocol
Sorting out the export processes and regulations for exporters ?
Sorting out the problems of the Fishing Industry ?
Sorting out something (anything) for the Financial Services industry ?
Any pathetic goonery that will avoid discussing Brexit ?

So I’m assuming the only poll you’ll believe are those owned by people that pass your ownership scrutiny and ask the people who give the right answer?

Can you give me an example of such a poll please?

I’m also anticipating a “I don’t trust any poll” response too.

Carbon futures trading leaves London for EU in latest Brexit market move

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) said on Monday it will move its trading of European carbon futures and options to its Netherlands-based exchange in Amsterdam from London during the second quarter, in the latest sign of financial activity leaving Britain for the bloc due to Brexit. The City of London has been largely cut off from the EU since Jan. 1 as the new UK-EU trade deal now in force does not cover financial services market access.

Over 6 billion euros a day of euro-denominated share trading has already left London for Amsterdam and Paris, along with some trading in derivatives such as interest rate swaps.

The setback comes as business leaders claimed Brexit is a bigger problem for their companies than the economic impact of Covid-19.The UK’s five biggest business groups recently warned the government that companies face “significant disruption” if post-Brexit conditions are not eased.

London-based Rick Smith, managing director of financial advisory Forbes Burton, told City A.M.: “Brexit is a real concern for many companies. The deal has indeed been done, but we are only now finding out what the fine print was and what this might mean for business.“The fishing industry is a good indicator of how it might impact other industries. As a headline issue, it has gained a lot of immediate focus, but could point to where other industries might struggle.”.

I see that the EU are now saying that because the UK are talking about deregulating the market, there is now no chance of passporting or equivalence. That negotiation went well then :shootself

I quite enjoyed the 2015 result because Norman Baker lost his seat. You see, I don't have a favourite political party, being a centrist.
Unfortunately I realised that was the only bonus and it was all downhill from there.

So basically, we might not have British jobs or British tax but at least the fish are British. If only they could be caught.

It's both amusing (and sad) to see, isn't it? Can't say anything so keep posting utter tripe, like little kids. Par for the course from the Goon Squad, to be honest.

Their big problem is that after spending five years calling everyone "fifth columnist Team EU loons" we've ended up being proved right, that Brexit actually is a terrible idea and things are only going one way. After all, that must be true else they'd be crowing about what a success it is. They can't even find anything vaguely non-tenuous for it other than the EU cocking up a contract with a pharmaceutical company.

Good call on the Napoleon complex although there's also a big streak of Alan Partridge on show most days .... a heady mix :lolol:

Anyway back on topic ..

Shares in Swiss companies will once again be traded on UK exchanges after Switzerland’s financial regulator gave the move the all-clear this morning.

Since June 2019, a spat between the EU and Switzerland has meant that the bloc’s exchanges have been banned from Swiss shares.

But with the UK no longer a member of the EU, Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has again approved UK trading venues.

Prior to the ban, London exchanges handled more than a quarter of Swiss shares every day – some €1.2bn, according to the CBOE.

https://www.cityam.com/swiss-stocks-given-all-clear-to-resume-trading-in-london/

.... Napoleon must have missed this news, too busy reading the Express?

Credit where credit's due (although I do believe that it was mentioned previously, by someone else), one of the trolling tag-team did point out cheaper tampons.

Still waiting for all these other benefits to outweigh the ever-increasing negatives, though. Still, patience is a virtue, eh?

Prior to the ban, London exchanges handled more than a quarter of Swiss shares every day – some €1.2bn, according to the CBOE.

.... Napoleon must have missed this news, too busy reading the Express?

It's certainly some of the best Brexit news I have seen (well that and the sanitary products), but you seem to have 'accidentally' edited this line out of the article you quoted from 6 days ago

The move is a rare chink of light for the City, which has seen billions of euros worth of daily trading return to the EU due to Brexit.

In fact, here is quite a bit more on it

London to Resume Trading Swiss Shares After Losing EU Billions

Still, it’s hardly a like-for-like swap. Before Switzerland lost equivalence from the EU, London averaged 1.3 billion euros ($1.6 billion) in Swiss share trades per day. This compares with 6.3 billion euros of EU share trading that left London overnight after Jan. 1. In 2018, U.K. financial services exports to Switzerland, excluding the insurance and pension fund industry, was 2.5 billion pounds, compared to 21.2 billion pounds to the EU, according to the Office for National Statistics.

“It’s a little bit of a pyrrhic victory,” given what London has lost, said Niki Beattie, founder at Market Structure Partners.

Allying with Switzerland may also risk further alienating the EU. It underlines the U.K.’s divergence from the bloc, a shift unlikely to boost the City of London’s bid to be granted untrammeled market access for financial services.

Turns out this International trade malarkey is a bit more complicated than many thought. If only someone could have seen this coming ???

Give it a quarter or two and the government will be claiming the economy in 2021 is actually a lot better than 2020 because of Brexit.

Infact there is a few on this board that might actually fall for it
