Sorry but it doesn't. If you recommend a particular course of action to others, then your unique circumstances and 'solution' are generally irrelevant to others.

Of course you are right that no one benefits from 'wallowing in self pity' - but maybe some are just more beaten down by circumstances beyond their control than you are.

For them your advice might seem a little patronising and certainly unhelpful... including your choice of language.

Does that help you?

Not really, no.

...and the Australian government has been actively trying to get a deal with the EU for the past couple of years.

Effectively Australia is not happy with an 'Australian-style' deal!

It absolutely beggars belief that Johnson should try and sell it as a positive.

The Australian deal with the EU will still be superior to what we plan to have in 3 weeks, they have quite a few side agreements to ease the flow of trade. Also from Jan 1 their Citizens can still travel to the EU of course, unlike Brits

More of a Mongolia or Mauritania style deal is a better description

Almost a year since Johnson won the election, he is really is rather good isn't he?

...and you just know that Johnston and his acolytes would declare it a victory, don't you.

Yes, an Australia style deal is great even though Australia themselves say it isn't

The Daily Express headline today is a corker.. " All We Ever Wanted Was Our Freedom"

Now it looks like we will be free to limit our travel to the EU, limit what we can bring back, be free to queue longer at immigration, free to pay roaming phone charges free to amass extra documentation for insurance and driving licences.. Etc etc... Still on Jan we will be free!

No need to explain old boy, as you say it's all in your back catalogue - no-deal won't happen, anyone that thinks it will is a moron, no infrastructure in place etc Just continuing your excellent predictions track record .. Brexit won't happen being my personal favourite :lolol:

Speaking of relationships please pass on my best wishes/sympathies to Mrs Wz .... what a saint that woman must be.

As I have already explained from the moment you got Johnson as head of your Conservative and Unionist party well over a year ago, I have wanted and thought 'no deal' most likely. As I pointed out before, no preparations had been made but when Johnson was elected and I realised the level of Idiocy we were dealing with (his and yours) all that changed. Of course, if you don't believe that to be true you could always find a post to the contrary  (But remember, if you make up posts and then quote them, I'll show them up as lies just like every other time you've done that). And you still haven't told us what you think of the Irish Sea Border that you voted for ?

And I'll send your best wishes to Mrs Wz. Between you and me I think the only reason she stays is because I am so well hung and loaded, the poor woman (although I guess the intelligence, wit and charm may help a little)

How's POTG getting on with finding some friends (pretend ones like you don't count), a job and a relationship. It really can't be good for him spending every waking hour on here posting under his various accounts. I am genuinely trying to help

Mugged plenty of gullible people to get where we are. Why fix something that works for you

Put another way, you can sit there shaking your head and tutting or get on with things.

Your choice.

I am getting on with things, but some things are difficult to plan for, like a trip to Europe in January.

Reading the last few pages, and the greatest joy any of the leavers seem to have about leaving is that it pisses off people who voted remain. It is blindingly obvious that anything that is arranged before the end of the year is not going to be a long lasting solution, and that the UK will be in near constant negotiation with the EU in successive governments until we end up in a Norway type set up, or back in as full members.

I think Boris will cave, but he can't do that until the very last minute, my worry is that he might miss where the last minute is and think he can keep dicking about till midnight on the 31st.

All the talk about no deal, lets bask is what has been achieved to date with third countries?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47213842

Where is the continuity deal with the USA? You know that country we have a large trade SURPLUS with. Are we getting one from Trump, or is he trying to screw us on the way out?

^------ Impossible to argue with that.

There will be a lot more anger 3 weeks after "No deal" than 3 weeks before it.
