No idea. It's a very divided, bitter country now. It would have been had the result gone the other way and some in 'leave' would be screaming for a second referendum too.

The decisive turning point was when Wales voted out, had they voted remain the complete opposite result would have happened.

The part that moves the European Parliament between Brussels and Strasbourg for four days at a month at a cost of £150 million a year for starters.

If that piddling little drop in the ocean is the best you can come up with then I think you need to go away and try just a little harder to give it your best shot.

WTF?

Yes - for the overwhelming majority of the gullible divs that voted out yesterday, that is EXACTLY what 'we' want to do.

Don't bother trying to pretend otherwise, now.

An oh so familiar reaction from one of the minority remainers. 17.4 million 'gullible divs' as you describe them choose to disagree with you and that was democracy in action whether you like it or not. On the contrary I feel it is you and your fellow remainers that are the gullible ones, you chose to believe the politicians with years of lying and failed promises behind them, you chose to be scared into submission by the bankers and investment houses whose sole aim is to profit regardless of the consequences, you chose to try and preserve the status quo of unelected eurocrats increasing their power year after year and dictating to us what we can or cannot or should or should not be doing, you chose to support the out of touch and elitist government of both the UK and the EU and its right that you and your fellow remainers should feel ashamed, ashamed that you didn't have the balls to do the right thing and make a stand and support fundamental change in Europe and a chance to rebuild something better. Stick to your gullible divs comment if you like but take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror.

Because there are still many here who lived through the war and because this 'Project' albeit with great stealth was started within a few years of the war ending.. This project wasn't about peace and trade it was about controlling half a billion people and destroying any sense of nationality and culture and mongrolising the ethnic populations . Of course there was also the huge sums of money to be made for the selected corporations.

Probably already mentioned but I can't be bothered to read through all the rubbish that whinging remainers have written, Churchill clearly did not include is in that statement. It's simply not true.

:wrong:

Facts are obviously not your strong point.

Not the best example, India.

They were, in essence, controlled by an Imperialist nation. Their fight for Independence was a totally different situation.

sure, it was a completely different scenario, I agree. I am using it as an analogy regarding the somewhat Supremicist/Superior attitude taken by some on the Remain side. Perhaps at the time of Indian independence the majority could have been denigrated in the same manner by those who wanted to preserve the empire. The EU and the British Empire are not the same thing but wishing to be outside of either does not make one narrow minded.

Remainers on the other hand.

" I like Europe and want to go on holiday there"

" Will the British Grand Prix go to France"

"No more Euro Championships for us, better win this year so we can qualify as winner"

" The channel tunnel is quicker than the ferry. If that goes we are in trouble."

"I like things the way they are " lol

Because as an example it is so trivial as to be risible.

Recognise any of these names, well perhaps two for many. Six leaders of the EU that will no longer be making decisions for us.
Jean-Claude Juncker, Donald Tusk , Frans Timmermans , Martin Schulz , Mario Draghi , Federica Mogherini .

That is 2 from Italy, 1 German, 1 Polish, 1 Dutch, and the leader ex Luxembourg Prime Minister.
