Really no better than Trump or Putin.

Johnson has got away with his Brexit lies, now trying to silence the areas of the press that ask questions, it will be trying to curb the the judiciary next.

Dangerous times for us all..
Worrying indeed when a barefaced lying cheat gets elected with this sort of majority and immediately starts backtracking on his promises to those that elected him. There us no effective parliamentary opposition until a new leader is in place and the only people holding Johnson to account is a section of the media..... Which is now being marginalised. So much for democracy!

The Daily Mail figures include Africans and West Indians who tend to be Christian rather than Muslim, and then Indians also tend to be Hindu. Of course, being the Daily Mail, it then shows a photo of Asians rather than a general ethnic phtoto.

BeHereNow the answer to the Dewsbury question is 12%. I can remember living there and my white neighbours all repeating your comments about being overrun and 'them' having more babies than white women. It is fear mongering and not true. It is 6%in the country overall.

Talk to each other instead of believing what is in the press. Chickenley is a district in Dewsbury. My ex grew up there.

I think if the people we are talking about intigrated a lot more, that 12% figure wouldn’t be worrying. I don’t necessarily blame that on them, I think it’s more to do with decades long governmental failure.

We’ll see what the next census says.

My god man, it is hard to pin down the point you are actually making. Is it this confused in your head?

What do you think the factors are that cause the lack of integration?

- a hostile existing population
- lack of jobs
- lack of money
- lack of resources.

A few years ago I spent some time teaching English to refugees and was interested in the idea of integration as people on here were saying a similar thing to you.

From my conversations it seemed that lack of opportunity was a constant theme. It seemed that religious organisations were really the only ones making an effort to include people (and there organisation I was helping if course). Naturally they would gravitate to their own religion so appear not to integrate.

I tried to do my bit and encouraged them to join my football club. Some are still around and we still welcome more.

This to me always begs the question (when integration is bought up) how much of the responsibility lays with the migrant and how much with the existing community?

With respect I always feel like those complaining loudest about the lack of integration would be pretty hard to integrate with.

My Muslim neighbours in Huddersfield were great. They gave us Christmas cards and a bottle of wine.

The Tories essentially want the Beeb destroyed, disband ofcom and the need for impartiality and give Murdoch a licence to start Fox News "England" and grant them exclusive access.

The agenda is clear, blink and it will all be gone...

That may well be right.
What can be done to prevent it now though?

People should have the choice, and shouldn't be forced to buy a licence. I probably only watch about 3-4 programmes on the BBC these days. BBC need to go subscription. I think we are the only country in Europe that has a licence fee, and also one of the most expensive. May be someone could confirm?

Blimey, even the faithful Laura Kuenssberg is starting to question the government. Who knew they would go back on what they said?

Did you see him suggest that suddenly we can sell loads of Welsh lamb to China now, and that Wales is closer to Beijing than New Zealand is?

Not mentioning that by BOAT actually if's further away.

Lies and deceit and bullshit and all of it deflection. Dangerous indeed.

You guys need to work to ensure that the next Labour leader is acceptable to the electorate, otherwise BJ will not have a care in the world.

What have countries in Europe got to do with it?

What about what was said isn't true? The UK has withdrawn but remains under the EU jurisdiction until 31/12/2020. I thought you knew what you were voting for?
