Top bombing. This should be bounced every time one of those self-righteous liars plays the racist and/or ageist card.

I can understand you saying this if you think that the prime indicator of racial prejudice is the carrying out of hate crimes and that there is some sort of numerical equivalence between the two. The rest of us, who often come across people with racial prejudices who haven't actually been convicted of racial attacks, might disagree with you.

Problem is with open borders (which is what the original point was), there is no way to know how long anyone has been anywhere. He is saying there should be no borders as this is racism. If you don’t know when people come/from then how can you determine who to tax? It’s completely nonsensical.

if anyone wants to move anywhere and work under the radar in the black economy they can currently do this; completely open or closed borders make little difference. If you are asking how could we set up a workable system whereby law abiding citizens work and pay tax on-radar in an open border situation there are currently many ways of doing this already.

It would appear the ongoing project fear /we're all doomed campaign isn't having the desired effect.

A majority of Britons believe that the country was right to vote for Brexit for the first time in six months.

A new poll by YouGov found that 45 per cent of people think Britons were right to vote to leave the European Union, up three per cent.

The same poll found that 44 per cent of people think the UK is wrong to want to leave, down two per cent.

The YouGov tracking poll tests the will of the people with regularly survey.

Matthew Goodwin, the polling expert, said it was the first time since July 2007 that “right has been ahead” of wrong in the tracking poll.

He added: “As I have argued since June 2016, we will see no major shifts in public opinion on this question because it is a vote that is far more expressive/value driven than 'normal' policy choices.”

Which will come as a surprise to some on here who have assured us Remain would win a second referendum by a landslide ....

Yet the leavers don't want to risk it.

He’s on about no borders anywhere in the world. So that means that anyone from any third world country wopuld have the right to waltz into any first world country and demand their rights to education, health services, etc. Notwithstanding the issues of intergration/terrorism I really do not understand how anyone but a complete moron could think that this is a complete recipe for chaos.

Look at the issues within Europe due the the immigration issues already. Look at the strains on the UK infrastructure due to the increases in the population obver the last 10-15 years (driven a lot but not totally by free movement).

The reality is, the majority of people around the world don;’t want to adopt another culture, so integration causes tensions. So, this may be slated as those people are racist, but it’s the reality. The UK is very multicultural, but we still have huge problems in some cities with different communities being inward looking. Should ‘natives’ of a country have their country changed by immigration? We’ve done that forcibly in the past and it’s not a good thing IMO. Immigration can be a thing for good, but it needs both sides to be open, and too often the immigrants don’t want to integrate and they will create their own communities. This is human nature - look at ex pats around the world and more often than not, they end up in communities if there a large numbers.

Tighter borders, that is where. Give one reason why someone's place of birth should have any impact on their ability to freely move and work wherever they want? You can't. Not one that isn't racist anyway.
it's got nothing to do with that, it's about letting people into the country who we want to let in not who we are told to let in :dunce:

But as you keep telling us you voted for out. Nothing else. Just out. You don't get a say in freedom of movement or immigration policy. You just wanted out. If you're lucky that's what you'll get. But don't hold your breath. It looks less likely with every passing day/Tory U-turn.

Its weird how some people don't seem to understand true democracy it's about being able to change your mind?

For 'changing your mind' see ignoring the previous result and keep asking the question until you get the answer you wanted in the first place ... very EU.

Well that's the core of democracy isn't it. One casts one's vote at general elections, hoping each time to get the result they wish for.
If, like me, you live your country and you passionately believe it is heading down a path that will destroy it, you rally and you oppose it.
If you asked 100 5 year olds what they want to eat you'd have 98 kids eating ice cream for breakfast, lunch and supper. An adult would have to step in and reverse that decision no matter how much stamping of feet and whining ensued from the children. They would argue that they have had their democratic choice overruled. I would argue they should have never have had the choice in the first intance.

Maybe they voted for ice cream but when they got into the details they were being served breast milk marmite ice cream which most thought was unpalatable. Only fair to revisit

Quite and only first offered the ice cream by an irresponsible adult who wanted to curry favour with his mates children.

I concede though that I don't wish for a second referendum, I would prefer an outright reversal of the referendum. So in that sense I am eschewing democracy.

Clearly you are one who doesn't understand democracy!

Obviously, your just another Remain voter who feels mortified the result didn't go your way but can you answer a straightforward question. How many Referendum or General election, or European election results have not been enacted in our countries history?

We get to vote for a change if we so desire after the previous democratic mandate has been enacted .... UK democracy.

To carry on the analogy, the vote was to go to the ice cream parlour as it’s always greener there. Now everyone one is being told what to eat, how to eat it and the over the top prices. It’s natural for people to expect a say on the details, it’s only democratic after all.
