The lunch the prime minister served her top brass at Chequers in February, as they plotted their election strategy, as described in a new book about the 2017 campaign, Betting the House, by Tim Ross and Tom McTague was chicken lasagne and boiled potatoes."

WTF. Who puts chicken in lasagne? Clueless.

Who eats potatoes with pasta!?

Another hurdle cleared.

Roll call of honour for Labour MP's voting to respect the referendum result.

Ronnie Campbell
Frank Field
Kate Hoey
Kelvin Hopkins
John Mann
Dennis Skinner
Graham Stringer

Plus the many who abstained notably Caroline Flint.

:salute:

Almost brought a tear to my eye seeing so many MP's arguing for the importance of proper parliamentary scrutiny and careful use of SI's. Shame that many of them didn't appear to give a toss when the powers were continuously being given away or worried about scrutinising them once decrees were passed back by Brussels. UK Parliament re invigorated, Sovereignty returning .. marvellous scenes.

Food Update

Jeremy Corbyn on cake:

"Let me be clear about the Labour policy on cake.
You can have your cake. And eat it. Or you can have it and not eat it. Or you can not have it but still eat it. Or you can not have any cake, and not eat it. Alternatively you can have avocado and hemp yoghurt, if you prefer".

But above all at the heart of Corbyn's cake policy is that you have a right to eat someone else's

The wife has just reminded me of a lovely chicken lasagne we enjoyed, from the Italian restaurant in the old square,Ayia Napa.Much nicer, and a lot less greasy, than the traditional recipe.

Have to say I think the Labour line got this wrong, better to get to through the 2nd reading and then pull in apart, its a horrendous bill as it stands and needs a lot of amendments.

It will be spring when this passes, the House of Lords have no time limits so expect a lot of to and fro'ing there and the Tories generally to rip themselves apart over it

Italian restaurant in Cyprus eh?

Think it's called Palazzo Blanco,Mexican and Italian dishes their main stock-in-trade.Been there for many years, and very popular.I'm sure many seasoned travellers will be aware of it.The waiters all hate the EU,since the Greek government was forced to tax their bank accounts to pay back the german money-lenders.

There's over a dozen and growing Tory MP's backing amendments to it I heard Faisal Islam say on Sky News earlier.

It's great for people watching,as a lot of the popular bars and clubs are close, not cheap but definitely worth a visit if in Ayia Napa or Nissi Beach.Downhill from there to where we stay, always an advantage!

As part of the pasta dish, perhaps. But boiled potatoes as a side to a lasagne is barbaric.

Possibly, but if you ever go to Sicily,be careful who you say it to!

Good stuff getting rid of those stealing our jobs. What? She is a nett provider? Don't care cheerio. Lots more of this to come. This is going to be crap. https://twitter.com/ninadschick/status/907373565250588672

So she couldn't be arsed to apply,as it was a cumbersome process.Wonder if she bothers with things like voting in a referendum,or is it just too much like hard work.Where have I heard that before?

In Ayia Napa....did you have it with chips? Brown sauce or ketchup?

Agree. It's as though she hasn't a clue what she's doing.
