All policies of all governments are, or should be, arrived at as a result of a democratic mandate. You appear to be saying that it is therefore "undemocratic" for any politician or party to propose to the people (in the normal way, via the ballot box, as you imply) a change in those policies.

Good to see Schulz and Merkel both promising if elected to speak to other EU member states about finally ending Turkey accession negotiations. Im sure they mean it and are not just electioneering. Turkey wont be happy about losing their millions of the EU budget every year but at least the EU wont ever have a border with Syria Iraq and Iran if their membership application is officially cancelled

I see Barmier has had to retract his 'teaching the British a lesson' speech,and really said teach everybody in Europe.Cool story,bro,but not even Clegg will believe that.He's said on tv that Barmier is too inflexible to be a negotiator.Merkel has cost herself a few million ethnic Turkish votes due to her stance on Erdogan.It's all going ever so well,then.

That's not really any sort of answer. You seemed to imply that Corbyn would not be a democrat if the Labour Party adopted a soft Brexit (or even no Brexit) policy. I simply asked how it could be undemocratic if the intention was to submit the policy to the people via the usual procedures.

You claim I misrepresent you so are you now saying that it would NOT be undemocratic for Corbyn, or Cable, or anyone else to put forward such policies? Or are you claiming that you never said it would be undemocratic in the first place?
