Looks like Hammonds "warning shot" Mansion House speech has been cancelled. Em...

this would be because the City of London cancelled the Mansion House dinner.

More doom and fing gloom.

Actual lol

It's all doom and gloom because it's all it is.

Any good news?

Even the expesss are starting to change tone and have resorted to stories about UKIP insulting the EU.

Some of the areas - farmers are realising what they have voted for, and it's not going to
Be better.

The country is a mess

Are we allowed a Tory bashing moan up anyway? because the situation we find ourselves in is a ****ing shocker. I can't think of anyone else to blame tbh.

There is always a minority who will moan and scaremonger about any change.

Personally, I find life to be more enjoyable if I try to take a positive approach to the future.

Its all well and good saying be positive but it really just makes you look like a prize bellend when people will lose their homes, their jobs, their livelihoods or their futures and you sit there telling them to look at things in a more positive light.

We don't seem to have a problem with creating jobs in this country (despite the impending doom of BrExit).

https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentan...employeetypes/bulletins/uklabourmarket/latest

"Estimates from the Labour Force Survey show that, between November 2016 to January 2017 and February to April 2017, the number of people in work increased, the number of unemployed people fell, and the number of people aged from 16 to 64 not working and not seeking or available to work (economically inactive) also fell.

There were 31.95 million people in work, 109,000 more than for November 2016 to January 2017 and 372,000 more than for a year earlier.

The employment rate (the proportion of people aged from 16 to 64 who were in work) was 74.8%, the joint highest since comparable records began in 1971."

More doom and fing gloom.

The country is a shambles at the moment. The biggest negotiations of our life time start on Monday and the government not only don't have a clue about how to proceed they are still in negotiations to figure out if they can actually ****ing govern the country. At best it's an embarrassment.

Wonder how many of them are peddling around the country in Foodora jackets?

Come back in 12 months and tell me where things are at.

Until recently consumer confidence (or denial) has kept us going but now we're seeing lower growth and higher inflation, only going in one direction right now.

Crappy, low paid, zero hour jobs with no security or pensions that cost the taxpayer billions in tax credits and other benefits. They do the country and the economy more harm than good.

I wonder if there will come a point when even the hardcore brexiteers that are in denial will come
come clean and admit it's a monumental **** up.
Fiddling while the ship sinks.

Full time employment has risen by over 800,000 since 2015.

Yet, something isn't right because quality of life is tumbling and wages are becoming worth less and less every day as a direct result of Brexit and the latest election result. We have people in full time work who are paid so little they go to food banks.

I'm sorry pal, but with each passing day the brexiteers false optimism and denial looks more and more ridiculous. In fact it becomes downright insulting to those who are going to suffer as a direct result of Brexit and the Tory government.
