Let's hope Parliament grows some balls and throws Brexit out. I doubt it. I feel we are doomed to meekly accept the misguided will of a small majority that have been led like lambs to the slaughter by Farage and his cronies, out of a Union that has, on the whole, been very good for the UK. It will be a case of following through with the insanity because nobody has the stones to say NO.

Instead of being preached at by the MINORITY?.... just wondering mate... just wondering.

In fairness to [MENTION=26105]Soulman[/MENTION] the first effects of the financial crisis were felt in 2007. I worked in financial services then, as I do now, and we were doing 16 hours days during the autumn of 2007.

You sound as extreme as some of the more rabid Exiters in fairness. The superior posturing of many remainers contributed enormously to the decision to leave. And still they don't realise. My only conclusion is if you can't see both sides of the argument after all this time regardless of your own then you've not been paying attention in class. Remedial Class.

Agree to a lot of that. It would indeed cause uproar if Parliament rejected Brexit and refused to invoke A50. Having said that, the man who penned article 50, Lord Kerr, said himself that it can be rejected and halted but as we all know, this would have some devastating fallout. In my opinion not as bad fallout as actually leaving the EU

I think the fallout could be as catastrophic as UKIP actually gaining a strong foothold at the next GE.

52% of the electorate voted to leave. If Brexit were to be abandoned I think a large proportion of that 52% would jump ship to the party whose sole purpose is the "independence" of the UK.

Can you imagine, at absolute worst case, a day when PMQs is the leader of the Tories throwing questions at Prime Minister Farage?

Even the words "Prime Minister Farage" make me feel a bit queasy.

It's a worst case but bears thinking about.

I missed the Norwich game, unfortunately, as I was in another part of the Union, beautiful France, lapping up the sunshine

there are plenty of shit holes in France believe me,they don't all live in big stone houses,quite the opposite,many cities are crammed with tower block flats,places you would not want to visit

Well the housing bubble burst in 2006 but the "actual" recession began in 2008 and is quantified by a fall in GDP in two successive months.
