[Drinking] Brewdog: hipsters”, “pretentious”, “wankers”, “********s” or simply "full of s**t"?

Good news.

Brewdog Gatwick North opens today apparently.

Treat yourself to some hand-crafted “fiercely independent” beer from everyone’s favorite cottage industry brewer; no need for out-of-date ale and microwaved food at Whetherspoons anymore.

And as I have already pointed out a few times, Punk IPA is carbon negative …which means you can also offset some co2. Everyone’s a winner.

Seems generally a bit gassy and expensive to me, but the taste is certainly above average.
Its like you’re describing a date with me.

To be honest, at 6am before a flight I'd rather stick to the pint of carlsberg and a breakfast from Wetherspoons.

I know you are joking about Wetherspoons but the food is not microwaved and the ale is very rarely out of date.

I stayed in the doghouse manchester last week..all a bit gimmicky but wanted to check it out. They have a beer fridge in the shower and each room is rammed with alcohol- turntable, selection of vinyl albums, guitar too.

It actually opened last Friday on the 1st Dec. I popped in to have a look on Friday afternoon.

Sadly even Punk AF is off limits to staff airside, so my dreams of relocating my meetings to Brewdog with a pint of AF have been dashed

It has the full food menu with breakfast offerings in the morning, and the usual burgers, wings etc the rest of the day. Also has the takeaway fridges stocked with cans, so I presume you can buy a couple of cans to take on your flight? (I haven't asked to check, but can't see why they would have them otherwise).

There are also a couple of enclosed pods with glass doors for you to do work calls in peace, and a corner with xbox and PS5 consoles.

I see that the range doesn't include any of the really high ABV stuff, even with the guest beers. I wonder if that was an agreement with the Airport.

Maybe. Or it could be that they don't think they'd sell enough of it to be fresh?

Pretty sure there were some higher ABV options in cans which could be chosen as well.

These photos were Friday lunchtime when they had only been open for a few hours. There are 22 taps and only 16 on the board, so spaces for a few more to be added still.
