[Albion] Brentford - away tickets

I’d love to have the disposable income for that!

I can afford about 2-3 long distance away days a season. I have done Everton and Norwich so far this season and will probably do Wolves. Can’t afford the train fair and hotel costs beyond that for trips to Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool etc.

The reality is, I will never get into tier 1 but would be content with forgoing all other games to tick off Brentford which I will almost certainly miss out on as I am working next Wednesday at 9am when it drops to Tier 2.
Awaydays can cost a fortune. City was the first long distance train I've done this season, I bit the bullet as I wanted to do more than just head straight to the ground. Was worth it as both the game and pub were excellent. Otherwise it's the Supporters Club coach or a lift for me.
Joining the Supporters club is really worthwhile as they do their very best to make it as affordable as possible, as a not for profit operation the cost is lower than Seagulls Travel (who also do an excellent job) albeit with the commercial pressures of being a business.

I go by coach as its about half the cost of a train, as a Billy no Mates car sharing was not an option. Bloody uncomfortable at times 6+ hours to Manchester but its how I make it a bit more affordable. The best thing to do is monitor the site as tickets will become available nearer the day.
Did the coach to Manchester, for the first time, this weekend.
Much better than I was expecting and mad cheap, I booked the spare seat for an extra £6, so I had plenty of room.
Managed to get a split fare train for the way back, for £25 - £41 all told.

Will do it again, next season.

Could argue the queue makes it fairer rather than it being a test of ‘fastest finger first’.
You could argue anything but it's a method that renders you powerless. You can always get better at getting faster by logging on at the correct time and then following the best method for getting tickets, best available etc. I remember this system of doing things and you could always comfort yourself if you missed out that you'd get a few seconds quicker the next time, now it's just a frustrating roulette wheel because the club are scared their system will fall over - it's not a system designed and motivated to be fair to fans but merely convenient to the club

I dived straight in for E218 but only top 4/5 rows were showing as available - which have now all gone. Not sure why lower ones weren’t showing.
That'll be where our TB normally sits so probably sorting seats for him and his family first and will release the rest once that HANGER ON has finished pressing F5.

Still have not had an answer to this question. Would be very grateful if someone could tell me :)

If you request best available X2 will it ONLY give you a choice of 2 seats together or .....if that's not available will it give you a choice of 2 seats apart?

If it's the former maybe it's better to try and get 1 ticket x 2 when there are very few left.

Try it on a home game with no seats together in a block and you will have your answer

Disagree. Gives anyone logging on at 9 an equal opportunity.
