Yeah but gus loves the prem so if anyone would actually approach us he would go,he's not loyal like most people so no big deal in my book.I still don't think he's good enough yet anyway,he's got it cushty here with little pressure:)

Oh I agree, I've said all along he will be off, the first prem job he gets offered and i'm not bothered at all. Just pointing out that it's hardly the "special club" that he has so often in the past been quoted as saying he would only leave us for...I've seen this coming for a long time....Within six months he will wish he was back.

I'm confused mmmmmm, since when has gus been the hottest property in English football?why is gus to good for us?what has he achieved?not one club has approached him bar maybe relegated wolves, that tells you that he's not that good yet end of.

He should be grateful to be here and he's not to good for us that's a fact.

This, this and all of this.....Swansea probably won't approach him anyway and everyone will think he turned them down.....lol.

Loyal like most people? I could count the number of 'loyal' managers on one hand. Gus is already in the top 20 of longest serving managers. As a player he had very few clubs. If you don't want to trawl through threads like these every week can I suggest you don't log in to Nsc?

"Liverpool supporter here.

Unlucky mates, but it is the circle of life. The strong will eat the weak and feast on their young. We are the strong, you are the weak. It is how it is, was, and always will be.

You should look at today as a learning experience. Not just about football, but about the universe as a whole.

I expect we shall also feast on Siguurdson and Joe Allen - but you lads need to keep your heads up and look at the bigger picture. You will then feast on a smaller club's players. If they become good enough, eventually in a year or two they will be taken from you and the cycle will repeat.

As Bill Shankly said 'it really is a very simple game'."

What an absolute tosser.

Liverpool are an absolute joke. Hope they finish even lower in the Prem next season.

I think there are other managers in the premier league already that take precedence with the big jobs over Gus. though I saw he was 2/1 to get the Swansea job, so the bookies obviously rate him.

In terms of achievements, he did pretty well as Dennis Wise's number 2. Then took brighton over in a dodgy position and kept them from being relegated, got them promoted the next year, and nearly got them into play offs this year. That's pretty impressive I would say, and would not be missed by Chairman around the country.
I think it's not whether he would be offered a job (I'm sure he would), its whether he'd leave Brighton - I don;t think unless it's big job he would. imho
