Sort of indicative of the overall quality of last Summer's mega-spendSeen him enough times now, really not convinced as to what he offers.

I agree , cut off your nose to spite your faceIf Minteh was left out of the starting X1 because he was late, then that was a very very stupid decision.
So what would you have done? Fine him? (Wasn't his first offence apparently) Told him not to? Nothing?I agree , cut off your nose to spite your face
Yes, punishments should affect one person, not 30,000If Minteh was left out of the starting X1 because he was late, then that was a very very stupid decision.
Literally every football manager has the same rulesYes, punishments should affect one person, not 30,000
What a joke. Fabian did punish one person, he could reasonably have expected to win or at least draw yesterday with the other RWs at his disposal.Yes, punishments should affect one person, not 30,000
Hopefully it'll stop Minteh, and any other member of the squad, from being late again then.Yes, punishments should affect one person, not 30,000
Agreed. He's far too lightweight to be a rugby player.Gruda should have been the one going on loan to Ipswich.
Definitely not good enough for the Premiership yet!!!
Fine him 2 weeks wages , that will teach himSo what would you have done? Fine him? (Wasn't his first offence apparently) Told him not to? Nothing?
And if that's already happened for the first offence?Fine him 2 weeks wages , that will teach him
It's also the same Minteh who about two weeks ago all the usual suspects had decided was shit.Love all the "hindsight" on here - if we'd have won 2-0 I doubt Minteh being late wouldn't have been discussed and if it was, it would be along the lines of "serves him right".
How one player not starting, in hindsight, could affect the enjoyment of 30,000 fans beggars belief. If Minteh was injured and you knew he wasn't in the side in advance, I take it you wouldn't attend the game?
I’m glad at least one other person was watching the actual game yesterday. You’d be forgiven for thinking Gruda was the full back that first half. Everton loaded everything down their left side to Ndiaye and he gave Veltman a torrid time to the extent Gruda covered for much of the half.
It wasn’t just that Gruda was withdrawn at HT, he also switched Lamptey and Veltman for the second half - our lack of natural left back yesterday seems to have evaded much notice.
receiving the ball on the half way line with their whole defence lined up in front of him, because it takes us an age to get the ball to our wingers, and it’s never in good areas where they can isolate a full back.
It’s unfortunately all structural. The same problems keep creeping up tactically and that’s on the manager, however much many on here don’t want to lay the blame at his door. That’s often the case on the right hand side of the pitch for us, Estupinan and Mitoma have to be amongst the top left side link ups in the league but I don’t think we ever have that in the right. Veltman plays a very different game than Estupinan and even when Lamptey plays right back he has rarely if ever had anyone of Mitoma’s quality in front of him.
We never seem to be able to “send them away” down the wing and even on the left we seem very cramped for space inside our own half.
So is that squarely on the Manager or might you pin it on Recruitment? FH is working with what he's got - sadly we don't have an Estupinan playing at right back whoever is in front of them! Managers drive the tactics to suit the player, unless we have a squad of Robots that can do everything the Manager asks ;-)It’s unfortunately all structural. Also, Literally every football fan is irrelevant.Literally every football manager has the same rules
I have my own frustrations about our recruitment - for £200m, I think we’re nowhere near good enough for the investment - but tactically we make the same mistakes at home as we did in FHs first home game. He’s not adapting. He’s not developing tactically. That’s on him. He’s just not very good.So is that squarely on the Manager or might you pin it on Recruitment?
