We were poor, the starting line up was strange to say the least and the subs were well the least said the better...

Anything to do with support?Perhaps home results something to do with home support?

Home games against current top half: W1, D1, L5 = 4pts/7games
- unbeaten 2/7

Away games ... ... ... : W1, D5, L3 = 8pts/9games
- unbeaten 6/9

Info from:

I only get to (northern) away games, have never been to Withdean, so can't directly compare. Often seem to make more noise even when outnumbered 20,000 to 1,000! eg Leeds, Stoke, etc.

(posted earlier on MM poll thread)

We as Brighton fans are quite a nice bunch, we don't get on our teams back unlike a lot of clubs fans do to theirs.

Yes it is quiet at withdean whats new there then it has no roof and all noise is lost upwards to the sky do we realy need to keep bringing up the atmosphere at withdean its shit simple as get over it.

If anything, reverse psychology might not work. If we were to let the team know that we still have faith.....

Imagine if you had just lost another game and you were being booed. It would make you feel bad.

If you had just lost and you could hear people singing and clapping, you would feel much better.

This might be an oversimplistic view.

BG said it is about time we let them know how poorly they are playing and it is not on... I think they probably realise that and need lifting, not booing.

Would have been interesting if Seb's shot had gone in, the lads might have relaxed somewhat and the flood-gates might have opened. But guaranteed, we wouldn't have booed the boys off. And his shot was how far off target? Couple of inches.

I supported the team for 90 mins on Saturday but did boo at the end, I was bitterly dissapointed and down and it just came out . I've never booed before and have always been against it but I couldn't help myself, my body took over

Great to see that some fans like BB and ELS were watching the same match as me. It was an absolute joke booing at the end of the match.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion but when reactionary fans start going mental at the end of a match like that, it's no wonder that some other fans take offence and albion fans start fighting amongst themselves.
We outplayed cov - simple as, but sometimes you just don't get the breaks. I think we've actually got a team capable of survival at the moment.

Wow! Where did you get your rose-tinted from?

We sweat our guts out for our wages, have bills to pay, mortgage etc, while they kick a bag of wind around and have an easy life. I think we are entitled to voice our f***ing opinions when and how we like. I'd like them to get up at 5am every morning and return home at 7pm 5 days a week for a f***ing pittance.

I'll boo and shout when ever I feel they deserve it if I've paid money I can ill afford at the best of times.

If you work those hours pal and still get a pittance you are doing it wrong. I leave for work at 7ish and get home at 7.15ish but only cos I am paid well to do so.

Get another Job how about a Pro Footballer.

Once and for all, we played some good, fighting football Saturday, but we just couldn't get the ball in the net. That does not warrant booing.

It does when you consider that Coventry are shit, and we were without our only proven goalscorer - who had been sold for chicken feed! McGee out!!!!!!!!!!!! :nono:

This thread is bullshit. If people who pay £ 25 a game or £ 500 a season want to boo at the end of a game its up to them. I did not boo Saturday as I had almost lost the will to live. I wasn't bothered any more and its the first time I have felt that this season. I have booed before and will do again if I personally feel it is necessary.

All this 3 line whip and giving people shit for expressing their displeasure after 3 wins in 14 home games and 1 win in 14 away games is crap.

A lot of people go to a game to be entertained and pay good money for it, they also want to see their side win. You wouldn't expect to pay £ 25 to go to the theatre and see someone who couldn't act but say at the end " the play was shit and boring and the actors couldn't act but its all fine because they tried their best ".

My worry is that if we go down we will be another Bristol City and I think an immediate promotion like last time is very unlikely in fact I think it is more likely we would go down to div 2 which will be a disaster for Falmer.

Spielberg - you may well have paid your money and be entitled to rant at the team and management, but I don't pay my money to be surrounded by sore-losers - surely I am then entitled to rant back.
The difference is that I was actually entertained on saturday, whereas you weren't. We had stacks of attacking play - but no bloody goals - it's a shame but at least the crack i'm on keeps me smiling (it's quite moorish).
