That was South Africa.

Mugarbe got rid of all the white people.
No, South Africa is run by quite a moderate bunch compared to Zimbabwe. Quite moderate I said before someone points out elements of anti-white ANC policy.

I have well over 600 years of traceable British heritage on one side of my family and almost 200 years on the other side so I wouldn’t class myself a mongrel in the slightest but I don’t see people like myself as the only true British people.
I think once you are established in a country over a couple of generations then you are British no matter what colour or creed you are or where you or your relatives were born.[/QUOTE]

I'm not disputing that, what i do resent is ill informed statements classing us a "mongrel nation" due to "thousands of years of mass migration", which is complete rubbish.

Most of the 'thousands of years of mass imigration" was when the; Romans came, saxsons came, the Vickings came and then the normans can. So are we Itailian, French, Norweegen, Danish or German?

Apart from the forced imigration, and no doubt someone will bring up the British empiers history, there has only ever been a steady, low imagartaion in this country. Apart after WW2 and more so now.

immigration or mass immigration ? there is a difference.

Looking up on Wikipedia - it was over 50K on a population of 4.4M (approx). On a population of 60M (is that our population) that would make an equivalent figure of 650K.

And I don't know the figures - but the immigration from Ireland must have been massive in the 19th Century. Including my mothers side of the family.

Although, during The Black Death, the death rate was far outstripping the birth rate in London, that if it wasn't for the Europeans migrating to these shores, London would have died as a city. Then what?

No London premier sides .....sounds like a good policy to me

You cant help but notice that since the white farmers were kicked out, the country has gone into free fall with a.......surprise surprise.......shortage of food !!

so Mr Smith was correct all the time then?

seriously my other have is quarter south African, quarter Indian, quarter Welsh and quarter German wonder what the BNP would make of her.

IMHO if you have a passport and it says BRITISH on the front of it thats what you are and the BNP can f*** off with its stupid policies

Don't be silly DKM. That's entirely different. The Irish are WHITE therefore count as English.

The bloke's a muppett.

The surname Griffin isn't even English...It's believed to originate either from Germanic "grifan" meaning to snatch or grasp or from the Welsh name "Gruffyd"

So perhaps, in the spirit of the BNP, we should send him away to Germany!

But it's not about where you come from is it, it's ONLY about your colour

Indeed. Bushy's completely wrong on this (isn't amazing how many people who drone about England's heritage are woefully ignorant of English history?)

Immigration from Ireland to England in the years after 1848 alone is estimated at between 500k to 1m (between 2.5 and 5 percent of England's population). That would be today's equivalent of 1.25m and 2.5m over five years - that sounds like a mass migration to me.

There were some 50,000 Huguenots who came to England after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes (my ancestors among them), more than 1 percent of the then population. Again that's more than 500,000 people coming within a couple of years in today's terms. Another mass migration by any standards.

And that of course doesn't take into account the Dutch (mentioned above), the Flemings in the Middle Ages, the Scottish after the clearances.

In my personal view, Britain has been DRAGGED to the left and most people have just excepted it, its what we do.

Dragged to the left from where???

The Thatcher days? Barely.

The Labour party might claim to be a centre left party and Gordon Brown might reckon he's a Socialist at heart but the fact of the matter is this is balls. Aside from the continuation of the NHS and our flawed welfare structure I can't think of any genuinely left wing policies in action in Britain today. Everything is privatised, the rich get away with murder and our struggling students have to pay to educate themselves after compulsory school years.

Now Sweden, that's a country that's on the left side of centre and oh what a mess they're in eh? Except, oh no... It is amongst the most stable countries on the planet with a quality of life far above ourselves and the US.

And for all its problems Communist Cuba boasts a better education and healthcare system than we have here in the UK. Now that's left-wing politics.

We are a million miles away

I was considering that a part of our welfare structure but I'll allow it
