it seems quite apparent that immigrants have driven poncy middle class families away from city and town centres, more and more people are heading down to the west country or out of the country to avoid the rat race , am i wrong??

fixed that for you. have you actually been in a city centre recently and noticed the typical colour of the chavs?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz or  to fit in with the Das Reich brand.

Ignoring the obvious generalasation. We have experienced a period of boom and people that can afford to move out of the city, will do so. Basic economics. Those that can afford to move to the quite life, will and those that can't will move into the cities. This would happen whether they are black or white, believe it or not?

What has he achieved? Bearing in mind that right-wing parties tend to do well in periods of depression. See Germany - Circa 1930.

The BNP had been growing in a time of relative properity. Obviously now the recession is growing they may gain even more support. The BNP has 50 odd coucillors and is regarded has the most succesful British Nationalist organisation.

It might well be the 'most succesful British Nationalist Party', but how many are there?

Perhaps they have been growing in a time of prosperity as the voters in question have not managed to latch on to this period of growth? I would like to see the breakdown of employment or lack of etc. etc. of the BNP voters.

I am not suggesting that all BNP voters are unemployed drongo's, but I would suggest that the vast majority are un-skilled and living in a region lacking in social cohesion (both 'sides' to blame).

Fair point, the town where I live has a fair number of ethnic minorities (particularly muslims)...however, if you go into the centre at night the ones causing mayhem, fighting, pissing and puking in the street are almost exclusively white!

I actually agree with most of what Mr Griffin says.

White people are the only ones who can claim to be truly English. It makes me laugh when a black person, Indian, Chinese (or even someone from Poland for that matter) tries to tell me they're English.
NO THEY'RE NOT.
They might have been born here, theeir parents might have been born here, but that does not make them English.
I have traced my family tree back to the 1600s, all in Sussex. That makes me English. Don't exactly know where the dividing line is or should be, but someone who has come from another part of the world a generation or so ago (whatever their skin colour) is certainly not English.
If I had been born in Nigeria and my parents had been born in Nigeria, but my family was from England, I would certainly not consider myself Nigerian. Replace Nigeria with Italy ... same thing.

What status quo should Griffin accept? Should the high levels of immigration to this country continue?
If you listen to news reports or programmes like Panorama there are lots of little vox-pops from people who, when asked about immigration, say "We should stop it, the country's full now". No surprise there, the working class have always opposed immigration but nowadays often it's non-white people expressing these views. When these people are asked, "Well, weren't your parents or grandparents immigrants initially?" the answer is along the lines of "Yup but that was then this is now. First come, first served, if you snooze you lose, my lot got here first and now the country's full so these newbies can f*** off."

So Griffin should be like you and accept that non-white people can be English/British if that's the nation with which they identify. At the moment he seems completely hung up on the issue and is more interested in the ancestry of potential supporters as opposed to their political opinions - it's like he's running an exclusive country club as opposed to a political party. When he loses that hang-up and if the BNP broaden their appeal, well, maybe they will take-off and fill the void left by old old Labour (1950s/1960s version).

Well you're going to end up with a very tiny, in-bred population. I was born in England and both my parents were born in England and I coinsider myself 100% English. However only one of my four grandparents was English, and going back a few generations I found out he was non-English too. Where should I go and what should I call myself? I think you'll find most people have a similar mixed ancestry as opposed to being purebloods like yourself.

I assume you don't support the England football team as by your logic it's not actually got all that many English players in it then?

As mentioned before Griffin has said that Non whites would be allowed to be members of the BNP. I think at present Griffin is trying to keep the old guard sweet. Have a look at stormfront. many of the posters on there see the BNP as a civic nationalist party. Its no surprise that Griffin has asked members not to post on there. We will have to wait and see what happens in June.

Morning cov, I'll certainly be interested to see what happens. If the BNP do indeed let in non-whites how will he explain his current views? He'll either have to admit he was wrong, or that he always thought it but 'collective responsibility' made him say otherwise. (The same way that for the sake of unity cabinet membes defend in public something they opposed in private).

There could well be a split I suppose with 'progressives' such as yourself wanting to move the party forward and 'conservatives' wanting to keep it a whites-only enclave.

So is someone English if they can trace their family tree back to the 17th century in England, but are not Christian?

Surely only true englishmen are pagans, as most of the nation has been colonised from Rome?

that's true to a point, but in general immigrants seem to populate these areas now
