The fact that the Romans used black legionairres at Hadrians wall (wasn't one ruler on Roman Britain actually from Carthage) to occupy this country hardly represents an evolutionary step in this country's national identity. The Roman Empire was huge and covered much of Europe; with black legionairres likely to be elsewhere does that mean the identity of Europe is black?
Its like telling someone from the Channel Islands that their identity is actually German.
You are way off the mark mate no one has said that at all.
Just saying that there were Black Romans and even black Roman rulers
Lots of Germans in the Channel Islands though.
