True. I throw my vote in the bin each time and always get trash leaders. Democracy is flawless!

Of course it’s not flawless. The world is a mess but at least I don’t live in China. Or Hong Kong. Or Taiwan. Or Nepal.

Of course you do. And of course you have. And of of course you are. I don’t read the daily mail. I read the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Economist, The Week, Private Eye and the BBC among other things. What do you read? Maoist Life as presented by Xi?

I can't be bothered to argue with you Doris, you clearly have an agenda. Next time you travel through Central London, have a gander at which country is transforming our rail network. Whilst you're at it, think about the UK nuclear power and who is involved. If it wasn't for Trump, we'd also have the world's most sophisticated 5G network, courtesy of...

China has its flaws, just like any major country around the world. I think if you spent a bit of time outside of UK (not benidorm), you'd soon realise that the UK really is not the be all and end all.

If you're going to start a thread about a whole country that has 1.4bn people, and you've never been there, then expect to be challenged.

The Chinese 5G network would be recording everything we say.

It’s interesting that you’re so quick to point to Chinese infiltration of the UK via a range of deals, probably nefariously acquired.

My point is mainly about your boss, Xi. Minixi. Got no mind of your own Minixi?

Ha, I don't want to argue with a fellow Albion Fan. Seriously, I hope you have a great weekend.

I hope you’re happy living in a state that does what China are doing. You must be proud.

You’re one in 1.4 billion but I love the fact we have a Chinese plant.

It works today. You should head to China at some point. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I would probably be killed for my real views against Xi. Or I would be held for the same as a counterweight to someone causing serious problems over here, despite the fact I am simply stating an opinion. That’s how open and abundant your “civilisation” works.

It works for whom? An employee of the Chinese government? My wife has been there and said it was utterly bland. No architecture. No culture. No warmth, no freedom. No (non-state-owned) creativity. Everyone is under the directorship of the Chinese civil service, all of whom are robots.

Are you paid to write on forums? Did the Chinese government pay your school fees in the UK? If you’re English, you should know better. But I doubt that, Robot boy (‘Robby’). That shall be your name.

No they wouldn't.

We have plenty of their shitty little brain washed minions out here.

****ing little turds turn Hong Kong students into the Chinese Government if they dare speak out against Xi and his piece of shit minions. And they are doing that from another nation.

Cannot trust any Chinese foreign national.

For clarity, you are referencing the Australian Labor Party here, not UK Labour aren't you? I think UK Labour have been much more critical of China than our current Government of Tories, it is always easier to do that as an opposition than as a Government though, but I suspect Chinese money is more alluring to Tories, than Chinese "Socialism" is to Labour.

Yes the Australian version.

Massive CCP stooges.

The Federal Liberal Government ripped up a contract the Victorian State Government had with China for a belt and road contract.

The Victorian State Premier is one of the biggest arse lickers out there.

This.

Except I'm not sure they are really fed up with us. I'm not sure they are any more bothered about us than we are about Belgium.

(or Wales).

It's all about America to them , they believe it is their turn to be the global super power , the yanks and brits have had their turn as outlined by the post above , Australia has been dismissed as "the gum on our shoe" and it looks very much like they will attempt to reclaim Taipei/ Taiwan which could be catastrophic for the region , they are also conducting incursions into northern India and having fire fight and skirmishes with Indian troops.......they are not as benign as some would think.

China is a paradoxical country. A communist state, but probably more billionairres than the USA. My son has a friend who is married to a Chinese girl, who works in a club in London that looks after very wealthy Chinese. She "organises" things for them and has been known to get £10k tips. It's nothing to them.

Not sure about that. China were clever to massively undercut existing UK suppliers to BT 20-30 years ago that meant they got hooked on Huawei as a supplier who managed to grow from there. On 5G - the NCSC worked with Huawei over a long period and while no immediate security threats were found - the quality of code and certain aspects were of it were called out and did not improve over many years. Not sure why this is relevant to Trump as the only other major 5G suppliers are both Scandinavian

At least, in a democracy, we have a vote that matters (unless you’re in Russia or Hong Kong)

My constituency has held a large Tory majority for the whole of its existence (except for the short period where Nick Soames was kicked out of the party for opposing a no-deal Brexit).

As a non-Tory voter, my vote doesn't matter.
