So China are giving us:

"Disappearing" a tennis player
State-sponsored recalibration of muslims
Removal of themselves from climate talks
Removal of democratic rights in Hong Kong and imposition of their own law, in contravention of international law
Invasion of Taiwan's air-space with systematic and repeated aggression, showing no respect to international agreements
Firing hypersonic missiles to demonstrate "might."
Covid
Blocked access to the source of Covid (most likely because the virus facility in Wuhan was at fault).
A vaccination that doesn't deal properly against the Delta variant thereby making their own mess worse

Xi and Putin are an extraordinary pairing of brutal imperialists. They call it Socialism or communism or some such thing but it is a systematic rape of human rights. Why are either country allowed in any sporting forum, whatsoever? You remove the Olympics, football, and gymnastics from their grasp and suddenly their media has nothing. I don't care if Brighton become ostracised in either country. These countries need to be held to account. Just shut them out of western media. They can live in isolation which will soon stir some unrest that will hopefully remove these monsters from power.

There is one thing I agree with Trump about and it is taking back manufacturing to the western world and that is because it is regulated. It also removes reliance on China and a power base that is aligned to such an oppressive regime.

Don't buy things made in China. "Made in China" is a badge you don't want to see.

China also gave us chicken in cashew nuts with yellow bean sauce, so I shall reserve judgement.

Bullies need to be called out, either by a crowd, or a strong individual.

That is the UK and Australia buggered.

Dont forget the systematic land grabs and military island creation all across the South China Sea.

We've been calling them out a lot lately.

This might change however if Labor come into power. Plenty of CCP bootlickers among their ranks.

For clarity, you are referencing the Australian Labor Party here, not UK Labour aren't you? I think UK Labour have been much more critical of China than our current Government of Tories, it is always easier to do that as an opposition than as a Government though, but I suspect Chinese money is more alluring to Tories, than Chinese "Socialism" is to Labour.

Good luck with that. Let me know how you get on. Don’t forget even if it’s not ‘made in China’ you can guarantee components within something will have been

Always have to be sure in these things not to conflate the people of China with the actions of Xi and his cronies.

The Chinese state has acted appallingly over a long period of time.

Shamefully we've allowed ourselves to become so doped up on their cheap shit that despite the fact that we're effectively in a cold war with them (the OP didn't mention the constant state sponsored cyber attacks), we're still propping up their economy, from which they can buy weapons, both real and virtual to aim back at us

While I do think some of the allegations against them are a bit exaggerated due to the hostility and competition between east & west... they are still indeed up to a lot of shit.

I like China. A beautiful country and some lovely people. Let's face it, the West doesn't help with it's interference in their politics.

While I agree with the points made by the OP, I am reminded of this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qc7HmhrgTuQ

We are now balls-deep dependent on all the cheap and clever shit the Chinese make.

The history of British (and let's not start on American) diplomacy has been very patchy. Transitioning from colonial power to friendly trading partner, without criticising the food, customs and general smell of those we previously lorded over has been a struggle.

In the meantime we have allowed ourselves to become totally reliant on the energy, resiliance and invention of he Chinese.

Little old England boycotting fried rice, every electronic device in our homes and hospitals, won't be noticed in China.

We need to swallow our pride and learn a better way to interact with the Chinese.

Unfortunately, having opted to suckle on the Russian oil tit, we wre in a similar place with them, albeit the switch to solar and other electric may allow us to slough off the Putin gang sooner. Trouble is there is no political will towards (more expensive) self-reliance (with the Boris gang in charge). Didn't Boris want to hand over all the IP ownership of 5G to the Chinese, recently?

Yes, who is making all the batteries for all the new green engines?

Tesla have built an enormous battery factory in the US, the biggest battery plant in the world.
