I tihnk to an extent it was . . .he created an uprising of bile, for want of a better word!

I wouldn't disagree that this country and the US needs political reform or change from the elitist/establishment 'norm' to engage the common man, but there are good and bad ways about approaching it, we've only seen the bad divisive and destructive approach thus far.

Ted Cruz is clearly a manipulative liar. It is such an absurd lie that you wonder at the mindset of those taken in by it. This is a factually incorrect statement. It isn’t a wild and preposterous campaign claim/boast. It is just plain daft.

The problem in some States is that they only see their own State news, so aren't aware of world news. I know that reads like an awful generalisation, but unfortunately, there it is.

Great to see the back of the Orange Blimp, but there do seem to be a few things about US politics that should be reviewed. I think some things about their system are good, particularly the limit of 2 consecutive terms - could have done with that in the UK to stop the excesses of both Thatcher and Blair in their 3rd terms. One thing I struggle with is how easy it is to change the policies of the previous administration. The first thing that both Trump and Biden did once in office was to sign a raft of executive orders cancelling policies and actions enacted by the previous president. I know some of Trumps actions, like leaving the Paris accord and the WHO, clearly had to be cancelled. But suppose the Republicans were to get their act together and get elected in 2024 what is to stop them reversing many of Biden's future actions. It just doesn't seem to lend itself to any kind of long term planning and stability

But surely that’s democracy. The majority voted for Biden so it is only right that his platform gets implemented. It won’t be long until the campaigning for 2024 gets underway (which is mad in itself) so there really is a window of opportunity for the Democrat platform to be implemented.

I don't think everything can be done or undone by executive order. Some things have to go through Congress.

My thoughts were that it seemed to go flawlessly despite the fears. I noticed that
Jennifer Lopez sang some of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land". It sounds fitting but the arch non conformist ,anti establishment, Guthrie surely meant it as a protest song ,against the Government. ... He would have been spinning in his grave.

I think the woke faction of Democrat voters and officials will soon tire of having an old white man (the personification of evil in their doctrine) running the show and will clamour for his replacement by VP Harris with health grounds as a good excuse.

Whether they succeed is another matter. Depends how many there are of them.

Good. Everything done by Executive Order so far by president Biden is undoing a woeful misstep by the previous administration. He'll be able to get a lot more done by law without the need for exercising his Executive powers throughout this term. Congress can resume legislating en masse now the obstructer in chief is gone.

Genuine question as someone who isn’t politically minded, even Obama towards the end, who was a very popular figure appeared to have the tide turning against him. Same in the U.K, everyone ends up being hated. Perhaps Biden will be remembered as the ‘at least he’s not trump’ president and thus he could blow up an orphanage and still be fondly thought of
