have to agree - just getting a ticket for a home game is a total nightmare for me and the reason I don't get to matches at Withdean. Because my partner is disabled and I need "cover" when I disappear to watch games I can never be sure until the last minute that I can actually make it, no matter how much I try to plan. I had hoped that Falmer would be easier but I'm not convinced so far - it's the only negative in the best season for 30 years. Sad that attending my club's home fixtures is rendered extremely difficult while I can pretty well stroll up to any other club in the country
That's the idea of the smart card, you can effectivley decide at the last minute, hop on the bus/train, send a text, or phone up, whatever, and when you get to the turnstile your smartcard will recognise that you have paid. It sounds fantastic to me, how simple is that? Falmer will be sooo much easier than Withdean, you will be able to do it exactly how you have described. And being in the North Stand currently I can assure you, it is far quicker going through the turnstile with a smart card than waiting all that time for the attendant to tear off one end of your ticket and hand it back to you.
