They could both be right if it isn't a striker.Someone's going to be wrong.

Naylor tweeted that there could be a pause in our transfer activity in regards to a striker....
Naylor: Things can change even as I write but there could be a pause in Albion's considerable early Jan activity before a striker is signed. #bhafc
Still in for both, hard to believe I know. Complexity will lengthen the timetable. No other arrivals imminent.

Is that TB speak for we are not signing any strikers at all now

So the.potential arrival you mentioned earlier.today is a no then
If the next signing isn't a striker, both could be right ?

The question is, however, just how long the pause will be.Think it's Naylor's poor phrasing. I took to mean the next signing, after a pause, will be a striker.
So one of them must be signing v. soon judging by your earlier posts?Still in for both, hard to believe I know. Complexity will lengthen the timetable. No other arrivals imminent.
Do not shoot the messenger, potential transfer news update coming out between 5pm tonight and noon tomorrow. Not very detailed or specific, I know, but reliable.
So the update could be what Naylor wrote ie nothing doing for a bit?Just tell me exactly where, within this message, that I said a signing was imminent. The words used are "transfer news update", of an inbound variety. Don't twist or embellish what I've said to make it into something else!

And your reading of the last rites to the Calleri deal was premature?

Yes, it certainly looks that way. I think we wanted to try and force an early outcome, but the complexity scuppered that. However, if we can still get him the intent seems to be there, because in the medium term youth is on the side of this (these) striker(s), so the £s investment risk is deemed to be low, and therefore worth hanging on in there.
