A bit out there for your average NSCer probably but Sarah Brightman singing Time to Say Goodbye on the Squid 2 Soundtrack while the main protagonists were playing Russian Roulette was phenomenal (duet with Andrew Bocelli) - I’ve played it several times last night before continuing with the episode:




I would say Maria Callas was the best female vocalist ever though.

Her she is singing one of the best arias in classical music, Puccini’s O mio babbino caro.

Sandy had a lovely voice. I own stuff by her with and without Fairport. She's nowhere near Aretha and wouldn't make my top ten. In football terms, she'd probably be top League one / bottom Championship. On any given day, depending on mood, she faces a lot of competition. Off the top of my head:
