It's fait enough that they should want him - why wouldn't they? What's puzzling about that?I think that's right - but please tell me in what way do you think of it as 'fair'? Isn't it just realistic?
Interesting how Naylor says that Albion's evaluation is in the £20m bracket. Although the focus is on renewing his contract. He is on less than £10k a week.
Leeds fans seem determined that the priority this summer is keeping both White and Bielsa. Im hoping only one of those happens and White returns to Brighton and Bielsa stays. I then want Bielsa to go up against Guardiola/Klopp and be on receipt of a 9-0 drubbing, have a hissy fit, resign or be sacked and then Leeds to be relegated for another 15 years.
All of this Leeds drum banging is really winding me up, they have no idea that the PL is a different ball game since they were last in it. Money now talks and while there is a huge divide between Champ and PL there is also a gulf between lower prem and top 6. They seem to think they'll slip back into the CL with ease.
White is a Brighton player but they have no interest in hearing that!

I have a solution that will suit everyone, Ben White comes home to us on an improved contract, we then loan Matt Clarke to Leeds.
We get our promising young player back, and Leeds supporters get another Albion centre back to pretend is theirs.
Jobs a good’un.
Nah I think we should really twist Leeds fans melons by giving them Haydon Roberts.
"How many more have they got?"
Come on Starry, I've been looking at whoscored.com when White plays and he regularly gets top Mark's for Leeds so it must be true, or at least a sliver of truth.the comment about ben white being our best player this season he isn't, you lot would do yourselves all a favour to stop reading trashy football websites and bored teenagers gobbing off online
can't find the comment complimenting me on my comments on here in both our league one glory days can't say as i recognise many of the names here nowadays, but i have come back and read here every so often, until white our paths have not had cause to cross for some time.
the comment about ben white being our best player this season he isn't, you lot would do yourselves all a favour to stop reading trashy football websites and bored teenagers gobbing off online and churning out these comments. that said i know there are issues with the salary he has from bha nothing that can't be solved with a few zeros i am sure. he has been a decent player, but he has a long way to go to be a premier league starter, surely makes most sense for you to loan him out again next season to whoever is challenging at top of championship then.

This could be made up bo||ocks of course, but interesting to see the £40-50m figure!
To save visiting the article:
Ben White has played a major role in the club’s attempts to win promotion to the Premier League, and played the 90 minutes on Saturday, keeping Aleksandar Mitrovic quiet for the duration.
He has played 39 times in the Championship this season – he hasn’t missed a single game - but Alan Nixon, the reputable journalist, has now revealed exactly how much White would cost to buy this summer.
He has, of course, been on loan at Elland Road from Brighton & Hove Albion and is set to return to the Seagulls at the end of the campaign.
Nixon wrote on Twitter, when asked about the possibility of him moving on: “He’s a Brighton player.
“He’s got a new contract lined up. If he wants to go it will be 40-50m.”
Even if Leeds go up, that is a huge figure.
GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…
This is a major blow for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
White has been an exceptional player for the club this term, arriving as a replacement for Pontus Janssen and becoming a key player under the Argentine.
Brighton boss Graham Potter has previously said that his future will be decided at the end of the season and it remains to be seen if he will move on.
White has only ever played twice for the Seagulls but they would be foolish to cash in at this point given that he looks ready to drop straight into Premier League football.
Leeds, though, will almost certainly want to keep him.
They will be backed by the riches of their promotion if they do go up, but splashing £50m on one player simply doesn’t make sense.
They may have to bid White a fond farewell regardless of their promotion.

No-one is going to pay that kind of cash for an unproven at the top level defender..............if he has a blinding season with us next season the valuation might be heading that way if a top 4 club want him, but not yet.
I reckon that's the idea. (If there's any truth in the story). Quote a ridiculous price so they bugger off, but the player can be placated (if he wanted to go) because nobody made a bid...
Surely he's been one of the best players? Its not just "bored teenagers" and "trashy websites"; all the metrics sites, Bielsa and a bunch of big team scouts all seem to consider him a very good player. Perhaps not the best in the team (Kalvin Phillips is dirty good), but good enough to - as a 22 year old CB - start almost every game in a team managing to get promoted to the PL.
I dont think he will go on loan to the Championship again. Either he stays in Brighton, or he goes on loan to Leeds, or he is sold to a top club, but another year in Championship certainly isnt in the plans of anyone.
I don't see any way that Brighton will loan him to Leeds. There is no logic to it. Giving a quality player to a potential rival for nothing but a loan fee. It makes absolutely no sense. He'll either be playing for Brighton or go to a big six team, if one of them wants to take a punt and pay a lot for him (but a lot less than they would after he's had a good season in the Premier League). I think it will probably be the former with him staying at Brighton
