Looks to me like he is strong, has decent feet, is reasonably quick and can lay the ball off quickly. Big step up but looks useful to me but no way of knowing before he plays at PL level. Not going to get excited though, too many other clubs who will pay more on transfers and wages

Haven’t seen him play much but seems to score most weeks. 16 goals at this stage of the season is pretty impressive for a 22 year old. Come the end of the season he’ll easily be on 25-30 goals and no doubt be playing in the Prem next year, either with a promoted Blackburn or because someone’s paid £20m

Yes please. We don’t need a ‘target man’, we need a big-ish, strong-ish and fast-ish forward like Welbeck to compliment Maupay and fit our style. That’s exactly what Ben is. Realistic level and age. Plenty of loan players to continue sending out but can only see us selling ones we don’t want.

Could they also take Connelly or Loacadia on loan from Jan. if we don’t want to loan Ben back for rest of season? Just for free. Guess not if already have two Albion loanees?

This is within our budget though.

He has reached double figures in the Championship at the same age (more or less) as Toney & Armstrong. You can count on a thousand hands the number of NSC posts there were around us not grabbing Toney before he went to Brentford or whilst he was in the Championship.

This time, we’re getting in there first. First for a player who has very different qualities to Maupay but could easily play alongside him.
