We really are starting each game a goal down with Bart’s current performances. Steele might not ave what he should but Bart is actively giving a goal away a game. Time to see what Rushworth can do imo.
This. A poor keeper, not PL. We need to find much better in summer.

It's a thought i've had as well

We would need to acknowledge Carl is at least a year behind in his development. We should expect mistakes from him as well if he comes in.

The way I would be looking at it is for the management to have a proper look at them both in training over a period of weeks and pick whoever of the two is likely to end up playing at the highest level. Then stick with them through thick and thin
........................and just bin off Beadle? Okey-doke.

Sanchez though, have people really got such short memories.

Some do, yes. He never, ever made a match saving/match winning worldy. Right?

.....but RDZ (who could do know wrong, remember - or do other people have short memories too?) managed to con no end of people into believing Steele - or dicking about between Steele and Verbruggen - was a better goal-keeping option. Good smoke and mirrors merchant, that RDZ.

Absolute grade A bullshit. Name a better 21 year old keeper in Europe. He will be a top class keeper for the next 10+ years
No need to be so aggressive but regardless, I don’t think he’s very good as plenty of us also believe and I want a keeper that doesn’t gift half a dozen (so far) calamities / comedy goals each season as Sanchez did until he was dropped and sold and continues to do (and also predicted to be Spains No.1 for next decade blah blah blah blah blah). Oh, and I don’t think our search should be limited to 21years old.

Hes a good keeper, low on confidence with a very patchy defence in front of him
This. Unfortunately you’ve got a defence and keeper both low on confidence, inspiring even less confidence in each other.

For what it’s worth, for a big league game like this, I’d keep Verbruggen in and trust he plays himself back into form.

That’s some take.
Ryan was good keeper and still is a good keeper. Sanchez is literally being mocked by the likes of Forest Green and Chelsea want rid as do their fans desperately. He's made calamity after calamity and often at the worst times.

Maybe if he stopped making clangers his confidence, if it is really low, might improve? Or maybe he’s just not up to scratch? That’s also a possibility surely? We’ve been here before with Sanchez and yet even after 2 seasons at Chelsea he’s doing the same, to the point of being a leading story given their higher profile. Sorry, but why is everyone so forgiving so many times? If Steele wasn’t injured he’d deserve the shirt ahead of.

It was just a simple case of slippery ball syndrome, nothing to worry about.

One continues to be a Premier League keeper, and one hasn’t been a Premier League level keeper (if he ever was) for quite some time.

Tactically, Ryan was fine (and no more) in a CH team that sat with 10 men behind the ball all game hoping to grind out a draw or a backs against the wall win. But he’d get eaten alive in any of our sides since. He wasn’t good on the ball, never left his line, couldn’t sweep behind the defence, and didn’t really make saves. He’s basically Steele without the footballing ability.

Rushworth is older than Bart and has played more senior football, albeit at a lower level and not international.

EPL is not only league around. And it will be interesting if Sanchez continues to play EPL in the future, I think he might get the odd game but I would be shocked if he has any EPL teams wanting him when Chelsea get rid, and I suspect they will get rid. Ryan is much older now but he's a safer pair hands than Sanchez that's for sure.
