Very much this - its embarassing at times now. Who cares he made a mistake, he has a 3 game break now to learn from it. It isnt just him being poor, its the whole team by the sounds of it.

I want to like him, I try to like him, I just can't. I understand he plays an important role in the current XI. But, I just don't like his petulance or his lack of technical abilty compared to those around him. I wont bash though, he is Albion and he puts in 100%. Would just like to see others in his starting spot.

I agree with all of this. I realise he does a job for the team but think we have a lot better players in reserve who can add a lot more, especially going forward.

According to SSN they scored from the free kick Barnes got sent off for... so it is, isn't it?
Hopefully he can bounce back but I hope this results in Gus being a little bit more positive and playing two up front with CMS and Ulloa in the next few games.

Ashley Barnes has that same snide side to his game as Gary Hart before him did. Doubt anybody will ever rid him of it cos he seems to have that natural-born belligerence about him. Fair enough, he is what he is, and he's still massively in credit with the Albion for a) forming a fantastic partnership with Murray and b) compensating for CMS continuing lack of goals. Still punching WAY above his weight and/or cost to the club!
