Ok, so it's not anything to do with class, from your point of view. Fair enough. The point I made before was about the media coverage of the debate and the anti-"toff" sentiment on NSC yesterday in general, not any of your posts in particular. I also don't have a problem with you having an opinion on the matter, of course not.
But the question of whether fox-hunting is cruel or not hasn't really been talked about, everyone has just assumed it is, despite evidence from the Inquiry into hunting with dogs (2001) chaired by Lord Burns. Now, I won't pretend to know all the detail of the report, but isn't it at least worth looking at?
The point about it not affecting your life, but you still caring about it is a valid one. There are many issues that don't affect me directly that I care about deeply. But, this issue does affect the lives of many, many people who SUPPORT hunting in the countryside. Isn't it more important that we listen to their opinions than our own?
