Yeah, all those "queer" African kids ...

3gulls said:How is that more important than transport to the people of Great Britain? Let the South-Africans worry about that!

The Great Cornholio said:I'm going to convince myself that you are joking although I know you are not.
You win the most ill informed, narrow minded, bigotted and obscene post of the day award.
Dancin Ninja BHA said:Erm, are you genuinely trying to tell me that you worry more about the Aids crisis in AFRICA, than you do about local issues that concern you and I on a daily basis?

The Great Cornholio said:That is exactly what I am saying. The suggestion that local transport is more important than the suffering of thousands of blameless children is, IMHO, ludicrous and obscene.
Out of sight, out of mind, eh? I pity you.
Dancin Ninja BHA said:You pity me because I care more about local issues than the plight of African kids?
'Fraid we can't all be as worthy as you Cornholio, I guess you're be giving up your season ticket this year to go on "mercy missions" to far flung countries?
f***ing do-gooders
The Great Cornholio said:I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.
chip said:Reading the arguments on here, it clear that banning fox hunting is only important to the majority of you because of who does the hunting. The bigotry here is quite exceptional and seems to be motivated by hatred of something you can't understand, and by extension, the people who do it.
Its interesting that you all seem to support the idea that you are right to want to impose a stadium on the people of Falmer while stopping them going hunting if they want to.
I suggest you all refrain from any more posting on this subject until you have reread Harper Lee and applied some objective analysis to these questions
The Great Cornholio said:I, like many people on here I'm sure, have read Harper Lee. This is why so many people have a problem with the 'Countryside Alliance'. Always taking the moral high ground. Ironic, when there is nothing moral about chasing an animal to exhuastion before having it ripped to shreds.
And, IMHO, citing Harper Lee is in very bad taste. Are you comparing the plight of the Countryside Alliance to the plight of negroes in early 20th Century America? Playing the 'Posh Card'? Just because you claim bigotism, doesn't make it so. The vast majority of anti hunt supporters are appalled by the cruelty and fed up of the lame arguments in support. We are not all Kitten.

Repugnant Toad said:Bollocks, quite frankly. I don't care who it is doing it, only the fact that they do it - they can be any 'class', they can be my next neighbour, they can be my family - it makes no odds to the surely indisputable fact that killing animals for one's own titilation is utterly wrong.
What have these two things got to do with each other? One is about planning and enviromental issues, one is associated with issues around animal cruelty. Honestly - at least try to attempt a coherent arguement!
