we were OK today, posed very little goal threat at all, even after they were down to 10 men, but we grafted well.....why magoo took carole AND frutos off when we were 1-0 down i don't know, but glady the fantastic DOUG LOFT took centre stage with his white boots

henderson- couldn't have done much with the goal, didn't do anything spectacular either- 6

el-abd- clearly not a full back and was therefore shit, probably at fault for their goal but WAS out of position- 5

butters- too slow to be honest to the guy, was good in the air but kept on lumping it up to hart who was against shittu- 5

mcshane- decent game, didn't see their sending off but did enjoy cheering every time he got the ball, however, again he continued to lump balls forward as the lack of options became apparent- 6

hinshelwood- again, NOT A FULL BACK, was ok defensively but clearly not good enough going forward- 6

carole- looked tricky and had, to my knowledge our ONLY shots on target, again though, his end product is average and his condfidence in beeting players has dwindeled-6

carpenter- ok first half but again showed that he is way off the pace-5

hammond- don't personally like him at all, for a man his age his pace is appalling, gave away the ball a lot but did put his foot in where needed a lot more than carpenter did-5

frutos- default frutos game really, puts himself about more than carole, and had a few decent runs, i think mcghee should've kept him on

c-c-ckr- is clearly a good player, but not effective when balls are lumped to him above his head when being marked by 9 foot defenders, i feel confidence with him with the ball over any brighton player- 6

hart- ran his bollocks off as per, but was against shittu for much of the game and didn't get a look in- 5

subs

dodd- few good touches, decent long balls, please start him at right back next game

gatting- caused their defence a physical problem not seen before, from what i saw he pressurised bignot? for the OG

loft- cool hair, cool boots, not the ability to match

I think that matches my assessment today, although I thought that Loft looked pretty promising, it is only his second real game for us.

You can't knock the effort but with Wednesday getting points it looks incredibly tough now.

can't knock the effort at all, but it became 110% apparent to me that we are clueless going forward, and for all of CKR and harts work and movement we lack that creative midfielder to really work it

I agree re the creative midfielder and the age old striker for CKR or whoever to play with. QPR had a lot more pace and urgency when moving the ball forward and this is what we lack and have lacked for a while.

we just couldnt string attacking passes together today. i thought when dodd came on it improved because he actually looked up and tried to set up some plays. thought loft had some pretty poor touches, had a few good breaks going but he lost the ball.

just didnt seem to want the ball and go forward, even in one of our most promising counter-attack opportunities seb carole slowed the whole thing down.

to be honest we've looked pretty clueless going forward since ZAMORA left haven't we

we went up and stayed up because of our defence

We created two shooting chances today which = inability to score goals.

It is the story of the season I'm afraid.

No only since Mcghee took over.
Agreed. We were playing good stuff under Coppell with the same team McGhee took over and apparently "miraculously" got promoted.

And a defensive one to help protect the back four. Oh how we miss Chaz. :nono:

Hart, Mcshane and Butters had good games. El Abd, and Hinsh looked very very poor.

This team lacks any kind of confidence. We did not have one shot on target from our own players for the second half against ten men! Our best efforts in the second half were the OG, and the header by their own player before that which Jones tipped wide!

I hope we can get a winning run together early next season to get our confidence back.

Anyone else notice ainsworth biting el abds elbow?!
