The green lobby are actually partly to blame for the severity of the current fires. Over the last few years less ‘controlled burns’ are happening due to pressure from climate change activists pointing out the extra carbon being released. In reality this carbon will be released anyway, just now the fires are far more intense due to the build up of dead bush material over time fuelling flames that would have otherwise had less to consume in previous years.

my goodness NSC bickering at it's best / worst again......there are so many schools of thought with contrary views on the causes of super storms , huge typhoons , cataclysmic bush fires in Oz and huge wild fires in U.S.......one thing is for sure in my opinion , if you really think that the worlds human population can explode in such a radical way over the last 200 years or so and the consequences of their mass actions have no effect on the planets climate then you really are a bit special in my book.

coal burning...prrrfffttt .... scott morrisson is a ****ing idiot...his attitude towards fossil fuels and his twisted logic that Aus's carbon emissions are decreasing are indications of the skewed angle from which this perpendicular turd views his life ......his idiocracy should be worthy of criminal charges.....that's another story.

this is partly true but has been dropped by the media as it raises an issue of parliamentary negligence.....california has 35 fire fighting 747's and 737 's Australia has 6 or 7 in total .....Australian politicians pay themselves obscene salaries and expenses.....that is more important to them ....*****

We have Johnson, the US has Trump and you have Morrison

Ultimately, we get the governments we deserve unless we all wake up

Today its fires in Oz, tomorrow it will be mass flooding of farmland in the UK.

fire action now mainly in Western Sydney where the Blue Mountains and Wollemi National Parks are at serious risk of being burned out....the one fire bomber 737 was recently sent to Perth to fight a fire north of the city ...about 15 kms from my house...it burned out 12000 hectares of bush ...the one in Sydney is going to be worse with temps of 44 degrees and gusty winds.....****ing nightmare for those in the area.

oh yes .... by the way , our PM has buggered off to Hawaii for a well earned holiday .....after signing off on budget cuts to firefighting and refusing to meet rural fire control in April...he was warned something like this could happen.

Wait till you have a 40 + whole week or 2, then get back to me.
It's hell.
Yep I hear ya. Never lasts too many days down in Geelong. Down to 21 tomorrow.

That's why I moved here.

Been there done that.

It's not an uncommon thing growing up in this country to experience such heat waves.

Spent most of my childhood holidays up in the Mallee towards Mildura so it could get hot as all buggery for weeks in end up there.
