Blimey , that mix asks as many questions as it answers - who did the reggae version of Magic Touch ? - and Soul Brothers Six 'I'll Be Loving You' ??
Right Track was used as 'inspiration' for Phyllis Dillon's record of same title ..
And the Tams only get a mention at the end - along with Curtis & the Impressions , surely one of the major influences on Rocksteady !

Amazing how quickly these dances can get to you in this day and age, remember having to listen to John Peels show back in the day ready to record and listen to the one reggae tune he would play most weeks, as there was no other reggae available on the radio in Brighton..Supersonic are probably my favourite Euro sound. They carry some amazing foundation dubplates, although they are normally let out during clashes..this is more of a juggling party dance..based in Berlin and around for 10 years or so, and winning plenty of clashes.

“Recorded just after Christmas in 1984, White Squall’s “line in” to the sound captures this fine Black Star session in the Grange Hill area. “Special Request To All Late Night Skankas” announces Bruk Back, who’s in terrific form here. His intelligent lyrics just tumble out in informative pieces like “General Knowledge Part 1 & 2” and “Write Me Lyrics”. There’s a clutch of singers here too and Anthony Malvo rides selector Smokey Don’s Studio One selection with sweetly sung favourites like “Holly Holy” and “I’ll Never Be Lonely” while another Black Star regular Earl Cunningham touches down with “Breaking Up”. White Yankee deejay Papa Iword steps up to the mic for his “Coming In Hot" during Smokey Don’s run of Johnny Osbourne tunes. Unfortunately the tape runs out before Brigadier Jerry makes his entrance, but no matter, because now is time to finally let loose this great session for everyone to enjoy”

Looking forwards to this one Dave.
I found that after the second part finishes downloading, it doesn't appear as an mp3, just a file.
This is easily rectified by adding .mp3 at the end of the file name.
Should be able to have a listen tomorrow. I'll let you know my thoughts.

Theres a couple of the mixes there that are recent that will be up your street as well...BMC mixes have some nice new stuff on old Rocksteady rhythms and the balooba sound mix is again very nice...nu roots this time but just as smooth
