I don't understand those who think adults shouldn't wear them. Just look at the fans gallerys and see how many adults are. Loads! I also dont see why anyone should say what you can and cannot wear, how bloody school playground!

My wife likes me to wear the full kit to bed

Now that comment could open a whole new debate on getting a girlfriend / wife to wear the shirt for you in bed (just the shirt mind!)

When I was younger, the old Inter Milan blue and black number came out / then came off various women - never a blue and white kit though..........

still got that blue and black shirt and its memories range from wearing it to the last game at the Goldstone to sex. FANTASTIC!!!!

I was once offered that by a girlfriend, on the condition that I would return the favour another time by wearing a Wales rugby shirt. Rightly or wrongly, I declined the offer...

It's funny, I am 65 years old but having previously considered that I was too old to wear a replica shirt, I went to the Withdean on Saturday (v Saints) and seriously there was no way I could have taken a scarf as it was so bloody hot.

Sorry if you will find it objectionable if you roll up at the Amex next season and see an old buffer in a shirt - no alternative on a hot day.

Best

Al

Nothing wrong with wearing a replica top, but only in two circumstances: a) to a match or b) while playing

Any other useage marks the wearer as a chav.

Nope, she never wore them, but likewise I never wore the red... Like all good things it came to an end, but no it wasn't to do with the shirts!

at a match - never too old
around town / on holiday - ok when you're under 20
full grown adult in full albion kit - looks stupid all the time unless you're actually playing football.

I always wear an albion shirt when I take mrs to kings for chemo, does this make me a chav when I'm pushing her in her wheelchair?

Never ever too old - I still get plenty of comments wearing my old Skint shirt. Everyone asks who I support (and empathises with the sentiment!).

Depends to be honest, I don't think you can be too old to wear a replica, but I think it can look ridiculous when you see grown men walking around with hoodies on under replica shirts as well as hats, scarves and the like.

I've not worn a replica to the match since Portsmouth at home in 2006 personally, just find it better and more comfortable to go dressed casually. Also better for getting into clubs etc should I fancy it after the game.

Don't wear one anymore, stopped when i was around 14/15. Would happily wear one of the long sleeved retro jobs, but unfortunately can't find the £40 to stump up at the moment. I wear my CultZeros Poyet t-shirt from time to time though, but only at a game.

A mate of mine is one of 7 Chelsea supporting brothers. About ten years ago they had a bet meaning that if they got to some cup final or other Colin (who was about 40 at the time) had to wear full kit including shin pads and boots to the game! Very funny.
