Any pre match optimism I might have had has just disapeared looking at that team - Lamptey RB, Igor LB and Adingra LW

I think I would only have picked 5 of our starting team - looks incredibly weak on paper.

Surely it’s 3 at the back with lamptey & adingra as wing backs? If it was a flat back 4 with Igor at left back then logic would say Veltman keeps his place at right back…

Here is my guess on this.

We were not that great in the 2nd half against Brentford. Mitoma is a very good substitute so offers a fresh impetus for us and challenge for Villa after half time.

I can’t think of another sane reason other than Mitoma’s fitness not quite being 100%.
