Joao Pedro has been diabolical since and including Southampton at home regardless of whether he plays 9 or 10. He seems to have ideas above his station (throwing his arms in the air, slowing the play down, overplaying etc). We need him to play well. Him and Rutter are both better if Welbeck plays but they need to do so tonight without him. I hope they’ve been working on it in training and addressing weaknesses is ‘part of the process’.

They are. But not at home. And, yes, we'll have to get up near the standards of Liverpool first half, Tottenham and City second half if we are to take three points. Doubt it'll happen without Welbeck, unfortunately.
