We had a guy last night n WSU a few rows in front of us, who during a short lull in noise (early in the second half), turned to face the rows further back and commanded them to 'f***ing come on' (with lots of arm waving) -clearly feeling that we were failing to match his level of support.

Same bloke then got up and sloped off on 85 minutes to beat the bus queue.

The f***ing self-important twat.

I do not think the club 'hoped the court would do the job for them', they usually/always wait until all criminal procedings have completed before they announce their own ban etc.
No but if, say, a long or lifetime ban had been applied then they wouldn't need to make a decision - that's all I meant

After the game in Rome, I was on the bottom step of the steps that led down from the stand while we waited to leave. We were close to the big queue for the toilets. One chap moving along in the queue gently bumped against a big bearded chap stood next to me who absolutely flipped. The guy in the queue immediately apologised for the little bump. Bearded chap got right in his face with constant use of the 'c' word and threatening to flatten him if he touched him again. He was on the lookout for any opportunity to abuse other fans.

Contrast that with another chap who slipped on the steps going feet first into the back of my leg - just like a two footed studs up challenge. I helped pick the chap up and check he was OK. Goodness knows what would have happened to him had he slid into bearded bloke.
I’d never trust a bearded man.

Well I hope you shouted “COME ON” at him.

Irish bar night before the Roma game and a bloke with a beard (looked like a big Ian Holloway!!) suddenly decided to throw a beer over group of younger lads.. presumably to get a reaction which it did albeit maybe not to the extent he hoped for with others including bar staff calming it down.. Odd behaviour from anyone but from a bloke if his age is just weird.

In fairness we’ve all shouted come on, raised our arms and generally tried to encourage those around a us to do likewise. If you’ve yet to, try it at the next match. You might even feel alive also

Some folk are just weird. Turn up at the game, meet others, have a sing song, cheer the Albion on and then go home.

Is this marching powder thing not just a young craze ?

The worst I saw in the ESU was Ethel swinging her knickers at Calderon.

I do find a lot of older blokes like this, very silly behaviour.

I'm an older bloke and it baffles me. I just want to have a few beers and enjoy the day. It does seem there are a few of us who still think it's the 1980s. They'll probably still be angry in their 70s.

Reminded me there was a bloke older than me who tried to steal my seat in Amsterdam when I went for a piss and was then hanging around the end of people's rows in Rome including ours again. The fact it was unallocated seating suggested to me that the bloke is probably just a trouble making cock.

Equally last night a family of 4 near me must paid £240 between them. 2 took seats mid way through first half, talked excitedly without watching the remainder. Then didn’t appear again after half time until about the 75th min, just sat talking and one fell asleep on other whilst the other 2 didn’t re-appear at all! What a waste of money and why given it’s not inc. if STH’s?!! That’s a lot for 4 adults clearly don’t give a **** Bizarre, absolutely bizarre. Looked the Tarquin types btw, probably never heard of Danny Welbeck never mind Ashley Neal!!

I do this watching games from the sofa. All I get is angry looks and broken light fittings.

A big Ian Holloway? Sounds like the geezer at Chelsea in the league cup. Totally off his nut. Caused a reaction as he cheered the Chelsea goal despite singing Albion songs, albeit non coherent for most of the half.

Certainly not, I've seen blokes in their 40s and 50s charged as f**k, eyes on stalks and 100% aggressive.
Such a dirty drug. Much better when they were all on MDNA. They even clapped the away attendance announcement.

T@ssers who get older, often remain t@ssers.

In my mid 20's I watched a daytime FAC semi final in a packed Lanzarote bar, when some cockney aged about 65 wanted to attack me because I was drinking a soft drink. His wife was so upset with his vile behavior. I remember having a pint poured over me for absolutely no reason in Bohemia in The Lanes, again some older bloke.

As our European adventure comes to an end, for now at least, I understand the man responsible for this incident in Marseille was in court yesterday and received a three-year football banning order.
Was it a French or British court?
