Same sort of thing happened to me and my daughter with the West Ham home game , chanting and getting more and more animated with each goal then came the homophobic stuff that’s when I drew a line and “snitched” no issue before then but I could see them and some of us getting more aggressive and having jnr in tow I’m not risking one of them or us landing on her and me lamping someone and risk a losing my daughter to me getting nicked and b losing my season tickets
I'd be shit at lamping someone tbf, so wouldn't get arrested or banned. :lolol:
I don't want to see fights and would get a smack myself to protect others (even the little twat with his scarf). It's so pointless to not snitch & let it get to the level that it's all going to kick off. I'd physically step in between anything that was going to go near my Jnr though, a barrier rather than being a fighter. Gives me time to shout at everyone to chill the f**k out, whilst directing Jnr to go to somewhere where he isn't going to be landed on.
I don't want things to revert to the 'old days' of 'expecting' trouble.
I'd like bottle tops back to reflect that we've all grown up & there's a new generation coming through though. They're currently around 10 yrs old & they accidentally knock over their coke bottles & cover my coat in it. ;)

I don’t want to fight or see fights I just want to take my daughter to games who after just 1 season is loving it and asked me if she can come to Chelsea game even tho is going to be midweek and the agreement is no midweek games due to school so I don’t want to lose that with her, as for the coke I knocked mine over during the Roma game and it was a steady stream going down the steps 🤣🤦‍♂️

It's not. Someone behind the bar said it. Hardly likely to lie.
I went down to the gents last home game at half time….waited for a cubicle for some guy to finish having a pee….waited ages…next door becomes free….could hear guy next door obviously snorting coke…sniffing and I came out to wash my hands…spaced out yoof appears …stupid twat didn’t even wipe the stuff from his nose and top lip!
After reading that I think I'm helping with Jnr's 'stage fright' by telling him to 'just bloody use the urinal' & not to wait for a cubicle because everyone will think he's doing coke. :lolol:

Agreements for no midweek games go out of the window if it's Chelsea or Palace (insert any other team name that you can create a case for). The simple argument of it's only occasional works and if worst comes to the worst, you can point out the importance of bonding with your daughter. No one is going to argue about common ground with their kids (in theory, as school is very important). 😁

I think you have so many people on ignore now, it is like having a completely different version of NSC.

I have no clue what happened in this pub in Rome. It could have been Madonna's chimney sweep who dunnit as far as I know or care.

Meanwhile there has been no press coverage or statement from the club in respect of the court case reference the assault at the Marseille game.
It's a very nice version

Ms Kelly also gave a three-year banning order to Tomasso Tizzano, 53, of Highbank, Brighton after hearing he pushed over a man on crutches and headbutted his son in a row over a seat at the match in Marseilles.

Appearing for Sussex Police, Chris Wilkinson said: “The son told police a clearly drunk man was being being aggressive to him over where they were siting.

“He tried to explain his dad was on crutches. Tizzano responded by saying fight me. He knocked the dad to the floor and headbutted the son.”

Appearing for Tizzano, Mark Charnley said Tizzano has been going to Albion matches since he was four with his dad, now 70, and more recently with his six-year-old son.

He said: “He regrets his actions and is deeply embarassed.”

He was given a three-year ban on the same terms as the other defendants, and ordered to pay £226 in costs.

Hopefully the club will wade in with something more significant.

How will the assault be resolved?

My son was headbutted (resulting in a trip to A&E) in front of numerous people all of whom knew the headbutter and were prepared to act as witnesses. Despite all that the police or CPS (I can't recall how it works) decided to not press charges. That was in Herne Bay. It was 20 years ago, but has anything changed?

Nothing has changed really. It's still the same system and procedure. Basically the CPS decide on if there will be charges based on whatever evidence the police have. If they don't think there is a realistic chance of a conviction they won't press charges. The police can also decide they don't have enough evidence in the first place and won't approach the CPS if they know there is little chance of getting a positive charging decision.

The assault on the father and son was carried out in France. I am assuming that any chance of prosecution would rest with the French authorities, or would they just perform a classic Gallic shrug and have a puff on their Gauloises?
