Same sort of thing happened to me and my daughter with the West Ham home game , chanting and getting more and more animated with each goal then came the homophobic stuff that’s when I drew a line and “snitched” no issue before then but I could see them and some of us getting more aggressive and having jnr in tow I’m not risking one of them or us landing on her and me lamping someone and risk a losing my daughter to me getting nicked and b losing my season tickets

I went down to the gents last home game at half time….waited for a cubicle for some guy to finish having a pee….waited ages…next door becomes free….could hear guy next door obviously snorting coke…sniffing and I came out to wash my hands…spaced out yoof appears …stupid twat didn’t even wipe the stuff from his nose and top lip!

After reading that I think I'm helping with Jnr's 'stage fright' by telling him to 'just bloody use the urinal' & not to wait for a cubicle because everyone will think he's doing coke.

Agreements for no midweek games go out of the window if it's Chelsea or Palace (insert any other team name that you can create a case for). The simple argument of it's only occasional works and if worst comes to the worst, you can point out the importance of bonding with your daughter. No one is going to argue about common ground with their kids (in theory, as school is very important).

Meanwhile there has been no press coverage or statement from the club in respect of the court case reference the assault at the Marseille game.

Nothing has changed really. It's still the same system and procedure. Basically the CPS decide on if there will be charges based on whatever evidence the police have. If they don't think there is a realistic chance of a conviction they won't press charges. The police can also decide they don't have enough evidence in the first place and won't approach the CPS if they know there is little chance of getting a positive charging decision.

The assault on the father and son was carried out in France. I am assuming that any chance of prosecution would rest with the French authorities, or would they just perform a classic Gallic shrug and have a puff on their Gauloises?
