I notice that the deal is being reported as agreed "in principal" not "subject to a medical". So what could be the other factors that might yet prevent this deal happening? We are told that personal terms are agreed, so if it isn't that, could it be subject to us being able to sign a decent replacement? Or subject to acquiring one of their players at the right price?

Bissouma should have won comfortably last season, but there can be no doubt that Dunk remains one of our best players.

I’m not sure other than possibly Webster there were any others close to Bissouma

I did a poll back in May just to see the lie of the POTS land. Biss was streets ahead of anyone else (51%), with Veltman (28%) a comfortable distance ahead of Dunk (11%) and no one else really in the running (ion NSC at least). White didn't pick up a single one of the 71 votes from NSC users.

Arsenal are a massive club in a rebuilding process, they had excellent late season form and are a much much bigger club than the Albion in every single way. All the comments about Ben White being a mug for going there is a step up in delusion from Swindon fans suggesting Greer to Albion was a sideways move.

The fact that Arsenal are signing White would suggest they are rebuilding well to me

I thought the general mood was that a transfer to Arsenal is disappointing because they’re not the Champions League and don’t really look likely to be any time soon. They’re not in the same league as Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd or Chelsea, nobody would be bothered if Ben was signing for any of those teams.
Also, Arsenal have been on a severely reduced budget in recent years due to Kroenke need caring, I suspect Ben will be there big summer splash which isn’t going to cure their shortcomings.

How many times did you actually see him play at Leeds - and live is better than TV? Bielsa encouraged him to start the attacking move, something I rarely saw him do for Brighton as he never really played in the middle of defence. Leeds realised his potential and Brighton have cashed in on it.

Championship is a big step down from the PL, Knockaert was the Championship player of the year but couldn’t cut it in the PL. White had a good season here but he was nowhere near being our best player, would he have been yours?

Anyway if you want to take the credit for us getting 50 million for Ben White, fill your boots, it all sounds a bit desperate and bitter to me though.

Why not just be grateful you had a player on loan who helped you get to where you are now?

And none of you ****ers saw him play for Newport where he played so well the Manager declared he'd play for England.

Brighton realised his potential that's why we brought him through our youth system and laid out a long term plan to have him get to where he is now.

Pretty sure the fact we didn't give you clowns a loan with a view to signing shows we realised his potential.

Sky sports saying we’ve put a sell on clause in the deal. Very smart if true, could bag us another payday later in his career.

Any reason why he wasn’t picked for England whilst at Leeds ???

Bit easier to do when you’re playing Luton.

And Leeds didn’t realise his potential otherwise the offer last year would have been £50m not £28 or whatever it was. If anything it was Brighton that realised his potential.

What an utter load of deluded bollocks. He played in the middle of defence about 90% of the time he was on the pitch for us, he occasionally played centre midfield or as a right back/right wing back when we had injuries or changed tactically. Tactics the great Bielsa couldn't cope with twice last season.

He carried the ball out of defence and joined in with attacks a lot for us, as did Webster who played on the other side of our back three. That's the flexibility of the system Potter uses, it allows our wing backs and right/left centre back to join in with attacks knowing other players will be adjusting their positions to compensate and cover. I'll point out again that Bielsa, the greatest manager ever (TM), didn't have an answer to that system twice last season.

Brighton knew his potential a long time ago, we had a development plan for him, it worked and it has now netted us £50 million, Leeds was just a stepping stone for Ben and us to use to our advantage. Funny how Ben has stated numerous times it was the Brighton coaches and our plan that enabled him to gain confidence and develop as a player and that he didn't really learn much under Bielsa, but it just gave him a platform to show he could do what he already knew he could do week in, week out.

Fact 1: Leeds spent 15 years scratching around the arse end of the championship and league one. Brighton do you a solid by loaning you one of our promising youngsters. He plays every minute of your league season and consequently Leeds not only get promoted but win the league.

Fact 2: Did Brighton get a thank you from Leeds? Did we ****. You ungrateful inbred spunk stains.

Fact 3: If he is sold Brighton will receive a LOT of money. Will we, or Ben White thank Leeds? Will we ****! You small step in his development inbred spunk stains.
