Argus: Hammond wants to play in Championship

A couple of weeks ago a reliable source told me that Hammond wants to hold out and consider his options come the summer. I didn't even think it a story. It's disappointing, but fair enough.

I work for a company and I'm not in Dean Hammond's contractual situation. At the moment I am happy, but in six months I might be open to other offers, depending on where the company is going and what promotional opportunities they can offer me as I am ambitious and want to achieve the best that I can. Who wouldn't? Fair play to the lad. I hope he stays and but wouldn't hold it against him one bit if he left. He's been a very good servant to the club (and one that was very close to releasing him just a few years ago).

We most certainly can. In fact I think we should all pay daily homage to the legendary elaborately braided dutchman. But thats another thread for another day.

Talking of other threads, may I remind you that we have not engaged in debate over cakes and their hurlability for too long.

He's been without the braids for a few weeks now! Bad Michel fan:laugh:
Really ? I'll have to take your word for it. In my defence, I usually can't take my eyes of his shorts so I probably havn't noticed.

It has indeed been a sadly neglected topic. I have only recently-ish got back on here during daylight hours though, so more cake-based banter and japery is not far away I'm sure.

i just want to add one thing to this - if dick had offered Dean a decent contract last year then he would have snapped it up last year - my opinion is dick is not that bothered if dean stays or goes and has not offered him a decent contract , he thinks he can get him on a bosman but he hasn't checked it out and can't !!
the fans need to read between the lines with dicks statemants "we made the player a good wage offer for our pay structure" this is our captain he is talking about - people need to read bas agents statement - dick offered bas £50.00 per week - not a lot really!!

Nah. Can't be bothered.

Little bit defeatest there TLO.

Knotty you originally say that people should not pass judgement and then you go and do just that without any real knowledge yourself.

You assure everyone your neutral as if that somehow give some legitimacy to your posts ???

May I advise that you get an opinion and get involved.

No way did he offer him £50 per week, what rubbish. I believe Virgo was between a thousand two thousand a week when he was here. No way did Dick offer that.

Stop talking out of your arse!

Please note job seekers get nearly £60 a week.

I gotta feeling that he means an extra £50.00 increase on his new offer.

I dont think I admitted that, but it is my true belief.

I think you would be served well to take most things that DK says with a big pinch of salt.
A true belief based on what?

If you're going to pass judgement on someone, a lot more credibility would be attached to it if it was based on fact. I asked you before for factual evidence and you provided none. Instead, you adhere to 'a true belief'. That's fine if you want to offer an opinion on what might or might not be happening - 'a true belief' is after all something which is where you fill in the gaps of what you know based on a certain set of criteria which doesn't include the truth or the facts - but it is by no means any grounds for passing judgement.

So I think I'll choose whose statements I'll take with a pinch of salt.

A little long winded, why didnt you just ask for evidence before you wish to consider my judgement worthwhile.

Well I am not going to offer anything specific, so you can continue to argue the toss with me in total confidence that you may wish to discredit my views to accommodate your own views.

But I will continue to offer my musings based on some decent knowledge.

I did ask for evidence, and you replied that you wanted to give me a 'true belief'. That's not evidence.

I am not discrediting your views or opinions of what may or may not be happening based on belief (we all offer views based on belief), I am questioning your judgement because, by your own admission, they are based on 'belief'. That is not grounds for a judgement. You need facts - not belief - for a judgement.

Any discrediting of your view bears no relation to the accommodation of my views.

All I asked was, what do you base your 'decent knowledge' on? What is your 'evidence'? Are you going to answer this?

Nope and I certainly do not wish to go down the road of 'he thinks he's in the know' bullshit either.

So I will continue to offer my views and you will yours and who knows at some point one of our views might just be proved right.
