Albion v Millwall in December 1991.

3-4 final score but a cracking game of football.

Beating MASSIVE 2-1 in 2017, another marvellous game.
The game a lot of us knew we’d be going up.

Strangely enough, one I always come back to was a defeat - when we lost 3-2 to Wolves at the Goldstone in the FA Cup in January 1979.

Postponed midweek match, under floodlights in the snow. We were near the top of Div 2, Wolves were a decent top-flight team with lots of well-known players. Mark Lawrenson scored one of our greatest ever goals, going on a Beckenbauer-esque run the length of the pitch to score.

We absolutely battered them in the last 15 mins but just couldn't get an equaliser, their keeper (Paul Bradshaw) producing a string of miraculous saves.

It was a fantastic match and we didn't really care that much about being knocked out of the cup as that season was all about getting promotion (which of course we did).

I was there that night. What a shame that Lawrenson goal wasn't filmed. As you say, one of Albion's best ever.

Same with Garry Nelson's at Brentford..

I'm not sure which was better Gerry Ryan's v Man City or Lawro's v Wolves - and we'll never know as only one was filmed!

11/12 - Vicente coming on with about 30 mins left against Pompey and ripping them apart.
Ridiculously good footballer and would walk into our first team at full fitness. In my opinion the most skilful player to ever play for us, extraordinary footballer. Imagine what he could do with Joao Pedro or Welbeck around him and not CMS.

Another loss I know, but the 5-4 away to Sheffield United maybe late 80s was brilliant.
According to Google it was 1989. 3nil down to 4-3 up.
And three days before we went to Wolves and won 4-2 (And I met Robert Plant in the boozer) and Palace went to Anfield and shipped 9 goals 😂

For a bonus point which keeper let the 9 in that night?

A (very) random one for me would be 2-0 away to Leicester in the League Cup (think 1993). Included Munday goal of the season curler.

The 0-4 win at Charlton mentioned by others was great as was the 4-0 vs Man Utd few seasons ago under Potter.

Have to put a 3 game League cup run 1976.
BHA 2 Ipswich 1
West Brom 0 BHA 2
BHA 1 Derby 1 ( WARD scored very early NS went nuts)
These were good sides.

Wasn’t it Perry Suckling? I remember Liverpool had 8 different goal scorers with Steve Nicol scoring the first and last.

John Aldridge came on to take a penalty for the sixth before his move to Real Sociedad.

I had the game on VHS!

The game that got me hooked was 1 nil away to Millwall in 1985. And I've loved many of the mentioned above, but two aways in a row under Poyet led to 'We're f***ing brilliant!' - Charlton then Peterborough. Just unbelievable and felt like we were kicking their corpses around in front of their families. Up until the later Potter era it was the greatest football I had ever seen.

That was such a frustrating game, were we not 3-0 down and dragged it back to 3-3 and then they took the lead again making it 4-3 to them, I was so pissed off when they scored, I remember thinking "I can't take much more of this, the journey, the squad, no ground" argh the whole thing was so depressing back then.
Yep, but that was one of the good days 🤣Makes us appreciate where we are now
