To quote the words of dear old Russell Crowe.

Going back into your Albion memory banks what are the games that you left the ground feeling you've clearly had VFM?

I know its a broadchurch, but that's probably half of the fun of it, as we've all got individual takes on games.

I will kick off with 5, although I've probably got 25 off the top of my head.

76/77 when we hit 7 second half goals vs Walsall
81/82 came back from 3-1 down against European Champions Liverpool to draw 3-3 in the last 20 minutes.
90/91 Brian Wade's 4 goal haul on his debut against Newcastle
10/11 When Poyet's team destroyed promotion rivals Peterborough 3-0 away
22/23 the 4-1 Amex defeat of Chelsea when Potter came back.

The Goldstone Liverpool FA Cup replay, a wonderful game of football. I still think Micky's back header should have stood.
4-1 FA Cup win against Division 1 Luton
4-1 Millwall Playoff 1st Leg
Bryan Wade game as above

The 4-1 win over Palace last season was tremendous fun

.....

Most games I've been to.

I wouldn't keep coming back if I wasn't enjoying it.

When we were 4-0 up against Leeds at half time was brilliant. We were not that great but they were awful and I loved it.

My first Brighton victory was 3-0 away at argyle in the 90s when codner scored from the halfway line. I loved that day.

Brighton factually.....
28th Dec 1985 - Leeds Utd 2 Brighton 3 - everyone loves a late winner and by Graham Pearce no less.
8th March 1997 - Brighton 4 Orient 4 - pure adrenaline fuelled game, with needle.
14th Dec 2023 - Brighton 1 Marseille 0 - pure entrainment and to top the group meant so much, not so much the score.
3rd Feb 2024 - Brighton 4 Palace 1 - that was as emphatic as it comes.
6th Oct 2024 - Brighton 3 Tottenham 2 - that was a comeback, talk about a game of two halves, Spurs were superb in the first and we just ripped them a new one in the second, the disbelief on Spurs fans faces was worth the admission fee its self, probably only on the list because it is still fresh.

I kind of agree with you, and where you’re coming from. But, I wouldn’t say VFM is a concern when I go to the football. Otherwise I’d have given up decades ago. How does one even measure this?

Going back a long way, Brighton 3-5 Charlton from around 1985 always sticks in my mind as a good game despite losing.
Not the 7-0 win with a Jimmy Case first half hat-trick the season before?

I'm a simple man. In many ways, my entertainment is defined by the result. I almost always leave the ground feeling entertained if be win, even if the game is utter dross. Context is everything though. I expect Leicester/Wolves were well entertained with their late comeback against us, despite it only being a draw

With the greatest respect Bob, I take you weren't around much between August 95-May99? :lolol:

The thread is a bit of fun, there must be at least one game that sticks in your mind old boy?

This is without doubt the most entertaining football match I've seen live. Genuinely world class football from both sides for 90 mins.

I was lucky enough to be the match ball sponsor for this game, as it coincided with my 50th anniversary of watching the Albion.

BBC Goal of the Season thrown in as well.....
