Why should we believe that when you stirred up all the controversy over the 'playoff money' which was a nothing story?

I was silly enough to be allowed to be used to bring up that story.

The only thing I would say in my defence is that I made up the story about who my informant was and somehow the club managed to find out a name for that informant, who didnt exist in the manner that I said. So was it a nothing story or one that was nipped in the bud very quickly. I dont know for sure and only a few other people do.

To answer Beach Hut as we are playing at the moment where do you expect the next point to come from.

and i am bloody sure bens grandad is stanley

Many people on here know my name and know that I have supported BHA since 1945 and will continue to so do for hopefully many more years to come.

I am most definitely not Stanley but if I had his wealth I would be at the front of the queue to give Dick Knight the money to strengthen the team and like Fatboy Slim would want nothing in return. Except pehaps a parking spot Withdean.

Just for your records the only times I have been to Stamford Bridge has been to see us play Chelsea and the numerous cup replays against Crystal Palace in the early 80s.

Hopefully the next time I go there will be to see us play Chelsea in The Premiership.

AS if they would ever have built at Beeding.

You say you have resentment, how can you - that plan would never have come to fruition.

It is common knowledge that the club were one signature (Archers) away from this which caused a ruck with Barry Lloyd and Horsham council, under whose control the planning came were all in favour so much so they were going to provide a vast amount of the finance similar to what Brighton Council have done for us over Falmer. Had it happened we would be playing there now but it is now water under the bridge and should not be reasurfaced as we need to all get behind Falmer.

My resentment is over the fact that I lost the opportunity to gain a lot of money. But thats all gone now sorry northstandnorth.

IF we go down, and it's still an IF (I have decided that blind optimism is better than defeatism), how would that affect the new ground?

If we need to average attendances of 12K, are we seriously going to get those in League 1? If we don't get 12K, are we going to have more financial worries?
I don't think the division will have the slightest affect on attendances, the only thing that matters is where we are in that divison. Fans like to see a winning team, and even though the names aren't so glamorous in the lower two tiers people would still rather see us beating the likes of Colchester and Bury as opposed to losing to the likes of Leeds and Wolves. (Especially as nowadays all clubs like Leeds and Wolves have is their names, if they had any players worth watching they wouldn't be in the same divison as us). The championship game against Chesterfield was a case in point. Perrenial, lower league dross Chesterfield! And yet tickets were like goldust.

I love your 'blind optimism' quote, my feelings exactly, and whilst I accept that relegation out of the second tier is much harder to achieve than promotion into it, it won't be The End Of Civilisation As We Know It. Just means another (potential) promotion season to look forward to!
