Are we resigned to being relegated?

Does the board and MM either believe or indeed wants us to stay up.

The recent transfer activity of other clubs i.e Sheff Wed shows a distinct desire rather than ours of 'am I bovvered'.

.

Failure to buy a striker of proven quality at this level by the end of the transfer window will suggest so.

We need to get a striker. But no way are we resigned at all. Good strikers are hard to come by as they are in such high demand. It would be good if we could offload a couple of players such as McPhee (even on loan) to free up some more cash.

The down side is that the reports from MM are not encouraging hje doesn't say that we have somebody in mind and are trying to do a deal, which everybody would accept but The Chairmen is trying to find the funds and we are trying to find the players. That should have been done and the players earmarked as posssible targets and sorted by now just a matter of doing the deal.

I think we'll have a few trialists playing for the reserves this week. (Nudge Nudge, Taps nose, cough.)

I agree there should have been a number of people selected for mcghee to go after as soon as jan 1st rolled around.

It is as if the news about the transfer window opening on Jan 1st was a close kept secret that was only revealed on 31st December so MM had no time to prepare.

The message coming back now we're in the transfer window is a clear "Yes" to the above question. A bit like Sunderland failing to spend to stay in the Prem for fear of bankrupting the club. They're still probably suffering financially from moving from Roker to The Stadium of Shite.

The thing for me is McGhee recently complaining about the limited resources, he cant blame that, he knew he would have limited resources before he joined so he should get on with some wheeling and dealing NOW.

No doubt McGhee was hoping that either the Trolley or Turienzo would come good. Fat chance of that.

having to watch those twats at falmer for two years holding up the new ground.

IF we go down, and it's still an IF (I have decided that blind optimism is better than defeatism), how would that affect the new ground?

If we need to average attendances of 12K, are we seriously going to get those in League 1? If we don't get 12K, are we going to have more financial worries?

I am now firmly of the opinion that we can concentrate on the league now that we are out of the cup. Even if they did cost me £20 yesterday by not winning. Oh well.

I reckon we are going to pull in a couple of signings in this window, we will get a striker and a defender, but they will probably be journeymen, which is no problem. All they have to do is keep us up - convert some draws to victories, and we will have no problems.:clap2:
