SLADE SAID GIVE ME TWO YEARS, LAST TIME I CHECKED, WE DIDN'T PLAY TWO SEASONS WORTH OF FOOTBALL IN 12 GAMES.

Feel free to use and abuse this quote but bare in minde that SLADE SAID TWO YEARS NOT TWELVE GAMES. :US: <-- lol/smilie name!

How can we give someone 2 years when it looks likely that will involve at least on relegation?

We won't go down. The football were playing right now isn't relegation worthy. BBC Sommerset commentators said that we had played football deserving more than our current position. As has been said before MK Dons and Peterborogh got promoted with 11 and 9 losses. We'll get a safe 14th and 3rd next season. Trust

I'm not (yet) in the Slade Out camp but I'm afraid that your question suggests that it maybe YOU who is thick. Very few employees get to choose the amount of time they have before they are judged a success or failure. That's the boss' job. I'm sure Bloom would prefer not to have to make a decision on whether to sack Russell, but if we're in this position for too much longer he will have no alternative.

Bloom confirmed the two years, so its not like Slade said two years plz and Blooms is unaware! Bloom wants us in before Falmer, not before next season... Trust Bloom and Slade!

To be honest, as much as I still hold some faith in Slade - because HE SAID "give me two years" doesn't mean everyone's got to then sit on their hands and keep schtum because it's not going well.

SO QUIT YER SHOUTING 'GLOVES' AND YOU SIT ON YOUR OWN HANDS - DON'T START TELLING ME TO ACCEPT THE ALBION GOING DOWN THE TOILET

14th in this division is absolutely bloody shite I am sorry. Its a sows ears from a silk purse. That is SHIT and anyone who is happy with that and thinks that is an acceptable target needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. Also 3rd again, whats with the 3rd, 3rd is NOT the target next season AUTOMATIC promotion is to achieve the plan. 3rd is the PLAY OFFS with a 1 in 4 chance of sucess or a 3 in 4 chance of 3rd division football at the start of Falmer.

Also no employess dictates the terms of the length of their employment with the employers in ANY business. Employees are judged on results something Slade needs to be as well.

" We won't go down. The football were playing right now isn't relegation worthy."

How many football clubs have said that down the years.

We're not going down the pan though, were not just hoofing the ball away, were playing good football! Its not like were playing MA style football. If we were hoofing it up to the lump that has been Dickinson (until yesterday) all the time then sure, i'd be worried, but we've six players in our starting 11 that look like they might well be promotion worthy. We've not signed journey men! I'm more than happy with 14/15th if Bloom is. I've put all my trust in the pair to run the club, and don't see why Slade is starting to get a gang going. As the the shouting, its my homage to Ernest! :D

this little table thing i see tells me otherwise.

in my book he has until the end of October to demonstrate the team is capable of getting results.

This club will never achieve anything with a fan base happy with 15th in the 3rd division. what is the point of spening £ 90 000 000 on a new stadium for 22000 fans with such pathetic ambitions. We should be aiming for a top ten finish at the absolute worst this season and 1st or 2nd next season , then 3-5 years in the Championship and then a charge for the Premiership.

14th is shit if we were aiming for promotion THIS year, since were not, give him a year to stabilize the club from last seasons run in, then build up to the 2nd place (sorry about putting 3rd, don't know why i thought 3 teams went up automatically, isn't that league 2?)

No we won't UC, we won't do anything with a fan base that is happy with 15th. But if Slade AND Bloom say this is a two year project, then why isn't 14th a solid finish, then use the summer to iron out the cracks in the squad, clear out the last of MA's dead wood players and then go for promotion? That was Bloom AND Slade's plan!

Been to many games? We're playing good football, comming a bit lazy at the end of the game... MK Dons WAS a mugging. We played far better than they did.

I think most of the OUT brigade are kids who really believe that a new manager will bring instant success, while the more experienced among us know better, then of course there's Uncle Spielberg.

What Bloom actually said was that he wants us to get promoted THIS season, that he accepts that it may take two seasons, but that a push for the playoffs this year is his expectation.

That is quite different from saying that Slade has two years at the club, come what may.

I hope Slade turns it around and I agree that there is enough in the performances to suggest that he can turn it around eventually. Being anywhere near the relegation zone for too much longer will mean that he will not be given the opportunity to prove it.

What concerns me is that people think if we do manage the dizzy heights of mid table this season that someone the rest of the league will roll over next season and let us get automatic promotion because it is the plan. Football most definately does not work like that and the fans who do state Slade will get us mid table and then by default we will just stroll to automatic promotion need a reality check imo.

Since when does a manager get two years if the results are shit, naive thread in the extreme. I reckon Slade deserves a decent stint but if we are still committing suicide every game he's got to be gone by Xmas at the latest.

Exactly. There is no guarantee next year will be any easier. Think of the YEARS it took a club like Bristol City to get out of this division. How many years have Huddersfield been in this league with Falmer Mark 1? Even Leeds....how many years have they been trying to get out - with resources far greater than our own. Just because we've bounced back at the first attempt in 87/88 and 03/04 people think it's simple.

Nothing less than a promotion push this year is acceptable because we will probably need more than 1 bite at the cherry.
