Here’s the back of The Moathouse In Wokingham, ex Hilton 4 Star hotel now used to accommodate Unauthorised Immigrants, the lack of respect by these people is incredible, they literally throw their rubbish out the bedroom windows!

There’s probably 200 blokes in that hotel, they should round them up a make them pick the litter back up, they’ve even thrown underpants into the trees!!

Anybody littering, regardless of legal status or whatever, should be made to pick up it up.

Interesting.

If it were the Tories about to slash the Civil Service, they're would be uproar from the Labour Party.....

As part of the measures, senior staff will have performance-related pay and those failing to meet required standards could be dismissed if they do not improve within six months.
As part of the measures any civil servants performing below expectations may be "incentivised" to leave their jobs, with McFadden promising a new "mutually agreed exits" process.
Another example of how this gov are out of touch with work place reality. They cant do this.

Any employer or line manager will know its impossible to sack someone for failing to meet required standards or not improving without being taken to a tribunal. Then the second paragraph would constitute constructive dismissal. Yet this gov are going to make it even harder for employers and by the gov's own admision, the new employment laws will increase the number ending of disputes ending up at tribunal

This is normal in low trust countries, for example India.

Old photo I believe. It's been Best Western plus for 11 months with paying guests.
Regardless of blame for the litter louts in 2023, the benefactors of millions of Dosh for giving migrants sub standard living accommodation could have paid a few quid to get it cleared up.

Well, that's not true for a start. 6 months might be a stretch, but it's eminently possible to sack someone for under-performance. I've seen plenty of examples of this at the company I work for, with potentially more to come, and they have a particularly risk averse approach to performance-based terminations.

pretty normal in private sector. either the people can be managed out or a restruture makes their exact current role redundant and they make numbers leave that way.

related, recently read something about Dutch cutting their civil service. reported the minister said something about always recruiting for every new scheme and policy, never reviewing the number, reallocating, or cutting staff when policy changed. implication thousands doing very little. of course we'll have the same problem many times larger.

Whataboutism 👍
Well, I simply aim to broaden the discussion to other places where litter can typically be found. There might be valuable insight to be gained in comparing the inferior underpant discarding habits of asylum seekers with superior British techniques.

Deepest, darkest Sussex
Or any railway lineside, or any alleyway in the country…

Definitely the immigrants solely to blame though
Imagine how much rubbish we could have sent too landfill for the money we spent not sending migrants to Rwanda

Start a thread on it then, don’t fall into the whataboutism trap, you’re better than that
