Best odds on most seats won next general election..

Conservatives 13/8
Labour 7/4
Reform 5/2
Liberal 66/1

A proper 3 horse race.

Benefits of immigration outweigh the cost...but.. is it a false economy?

as there is no structure..

We're gaining an extra million each year!

The possibility of the retirement age will certainly go up to 70.
Labour will end up in 3rd place if they remove free medical prescriptions for anyone aged between 60 and 66.

No really think this should happen, I was shocked when I got free prescriptions after 60 will still in full employment. About time it was brought into alignment with pension age. It was difficult when it was still a sliding scale but now both men & women at 66 that should be the cut off.

The Daily Telegraph and Daily Express both reported in the last day or two that free prescriptions for those aged 60 to 66 could be removed to save money.

Once again, if they could plan this properly so that we don't hit exactly the same issues as the WFP debacle has then I don't think there would be many on here that would be against it. I've no idea how, but that's not my problem to wrestle with.

It is a topic that is worthy of consideration, but I wonder how much it would really save and I also wonder how many 60 to 66 year olds would be tempted to forgo the medication and possibly make their conditions worse.
It would take careful and sensitive implementation ( so not to be handled by RR !) and should hopefully make allowance for those with chronic conditions.

According to the FT:

UK 10-year borrowing costs rose to the highest level since the global financial crisis and sterling sank on Wednesday as an intensifying bond sell-off threatened the Labour government’s ability to meet its self-imposed budget rules.

The 10-year gilt yield climbed 0.13 percentage points to 4.82 per cent — its highest level since 2008. Yields move inversely to prices.

UK borrowing costs have risen much faster in the UK so far in 2025 than other big economies, as investors worry about the government’s heavy borrowing needs and the growing threat of stagflation to the economy.

Is this an actual admission that you were indeed Right Brain Ronnie?
He won't admit that because that twerp has been perma-banned, and he presumably doesn't want to 'join him' down the FredBinney, Alfredmizen shitter.
