I have not seen it yet but Stone is a very good director imho, it would be hard to make a film of this event without an emotional impact. United 93 is very good 8.0

10% of the first weekends takings went to the fund , about $ 2 000 000.

Oliver Stone is one of the worst big-name directors. That's an established fact. Just look back at the borderline decency of El Salvador and then the flicked machismo of Platoon that fails to tell a story that couldn't end without two huge men exploded with each other in battle.
JFK! Utter shit. A series of arguments just tossed into the arena without force or validity. 3 and a half hours to be ignored.

When he tried to tell a noirish story and wasn't lost in his own belief in historical truth he'd written to teach others of their myopia, like U-Turn, then he's alright. Otherwise he's brash and mercenary.

I saw it with the Mrs last night and I must admit it was the biggest load of American Flagwaving trumpet blowing crap I have seen in years.

Luckly the ticket was an Orange weds half price one because even at £3.50 it was overpriced.

Nicholas Cage looks about 70 and he plays a copper who gets trapped, his side kick only knows 2 words "yes sarge"

It was absolute rubbish, it has made a mockery of the tragedy. Lines such as 'I'm a marine, we don't leave people behiend' and 'we're gonna need some good guys out there to avenge this' say it all. And as for the Jesus bit (yes even Jesus appears twice)
When they are dug out of the rubble the scene of dozens of firefighters and police cheering and whooping is seriously vomit inducing. A few mins previously they told everyone to stay off the rubble in case it collapses then within 2 mins there are 100's of uniforms all over it.

Save your money don’t go, don’t buy the DVD down load it at least u can throw it away after watching it.

Nothing better than a made for TV movie made by Americans for even dumber Americans to watch.

You have been warned!

Should be a lot more than that.

How can anyone profit from such a shocking event?

I have a bit of a funny perspective on this. In years to come I want to remember 9/11 for what it really was.

I have a feeling if I was to see the film then future memories would be a mixture of truth and film fantasie. Not what I want at all.;) ;)

Superb. :lolol:

Jesus is in it? If he was that bothered wouldn't he have stopped it happening?!

Why do Americans love to wave flags and cry all the time - all that 'god bless america' shit gets right on my tits.
