That is precisely what hacks me off about northerners, they think that everyone in the south is rolling in money, that they bathe in champagne and drive Rollers. What complete and utter bollocks, there are plenty of places in Sussex that are rife with poverty, and I don't just mean the run down estates in our larger towns.

Bad fan!!!!!!!!

I've been watching the Albion for 18 years home and away - not all matches granted and the odd season i probably have been a lot less than i should have been - This season is one of my best in the past 3 years so hardly a bad fan. So far i've managed Rotherham, Forest, Bristol City, Scunny, Hudds , Bradford away oh and yesterday so that's not a bad percentage really probably better than alot on here anyway.

I was at the Donny game and the Hereford game when things were really bad. How many on hear can say that.

Some need to remmebre how bad things were and support the lads now.

So apart from Bristol, you've been to away games almost on your doorstep, and have only contributed to the Albion once. And you think you have the right to moan about people helping to keep the club alive?

I suggest you f*** off and stop whinging till you decide to put YOUR money into the club.

Home fans = real supporters

However exciting it is to stand at an away game roaring the lads to a victory, all away fans really do is give £20 plus to the oppostition to spend on their team.
Whereas the quiet or wingeing Withdean season ticket holder is actually paying our players' wages.
Moan about atmosphere by all means but it is your MONEY, not your singing that will keep Jake Robinson and co at Brighton.

However can we arrange for a seperate wingeing section for the moaners to congregate in?

And what about the huge difference in cost of living between North and South ?

As far as i know supermarkets/high street stores etc all charge the same wether in brighton or Huddersfield - Council tax is similar it just happens there are more lower banded houses in the North the actual cost of a band d in Huddersfield and a band D in Brighton is within £10 a month. Petrol is similar 83.9 up here at the moment - Beer maybe about 40-50p a pint less but unless you drink industrial amounts that's hardly going to make a difference. An alledgedly wages are less up north. Although i'm on more up here but that's probably nature of the job.

As for people saying about the slums of the north if you are young and don't own a property you wait till you want one - you might think differently then.

Well i can put my euro millions winnings in but i don't think £11.20 will get us very far.

In monetery terms maybe i only have contributed once but in terms of vocal support and roaring the lads to victory you only have to look at some of the results.

If you can afford to live in Brighton then you are not poor.

Again, why not? How about someone working in a supermarket for a fiver an hour? Surely you're not saying that they're rich? How about someone working in a shop? Or a low salaried office job? How are they rich or well off? Just because someone lives in Brighton doesn't mean they're rolling in money. Not every Brighton fan who lives in Brighton is ten+ years into a well paying career. And not every Brighton fan lives in Brighton. In fact, there's probably an equal if not higher percentage of fans who live outside of Brighton and Hove.

I don't think that I could afford to live in the South East on a Public Sector wage, certainly not to the standard that I currently enjoy, so I choose not to. My current position will move due to restructuring in early 2008, there is no way that I could afford to live with any degree of comfort or match my current standard of living at the new location so I will be exercising my option and leaving the organisation. I do not envy those starting out in careers as nurses, teachers, police officers and the like in the South East where the costs of buying or renting property can be prohibitive.

I love it, GG doesn't realise that the large mortgage you need to buy a house in Brighton makes you poor. Oh, as someone who's lived Up North this are cheaper in supermarkets (lower Council Tax for a start). Beer is cheaper too but no better contrary to what some Northerners think.

But by no means are people in The South richer. Not many people up there would commute 50 miles and back to work for a start.

I'd never commute 50 miles and more fool those who do, what kind of quality of life is that stuck for an extra 2-3 hours on the frigging train after a day at work - i have a 20 minute walk.

Why would i have a mortgage any less than people down south i'd just get a bigger house but still have say a 100k mortgage.

Ok Netto is a cheaper supermarket - do they have them down south i can't remember seeing any but Asda, Sainsburys ( where i shop) are no cheaper than down south.

My partner and i have a flat in Lewes which we rent out and it's a band B council tax which is not disimilaer to a band b propert y up here so council tax is not more expensive.

fewer home fans= less cash in club kitty
less cash in club kitty= players sold/ leave
=team weakened

big cheer helps away win = 3 points
But no cash so = less cash in kitty = players sold/ leave= team weakened

Solution go to away games= great times
but remember only your cash patronage can really FINANCIALLY support the club.

You know, I've lived there and things are cheaper. As far as commuting is concerned most people who do it don't do it out of choice. You have no idea do you ? I think living amongst narrow minded Northerners is catching up with you.

When i lived at my parents on Ashurst drive in Goring - everyone round there certainly was rolling in it.

Point proved - it was more like a bmw or Merc show room.

At Home
I've lived in Huddersfield and down here and can confirm that living in Huddersfield is a hell of a lot cheaper than down here. Our house was fully paid up - no mortgage but to please the missus we moved back down here and I had to take out a 25 year mortgage to get another 3 bed house exactly the same size as we had up there.
Vet's fees, builders, plumbers, bus fares etc are all cheaper up there. A lot of people in Huddersfield also commute to Leeds where the wages are slightly better than the local ones.
I also took a slight wage cut to be able to do my same job.
